Merry Meet,

My feet hit the icy cold tile floor as I made my way through the house bleary eyed searching for the coffee maker.  As I poured the steaming hot coffee into my mug I glanced out my kitchen and caught my breath in wonder.  The sliver of the waning fourth quarter moon sparkled and shimmered and seemed to dance in the still dark sky in front of my eyes.  I took a moment to just enjoy the moon and the few twinkling stars around it.

As I sipped on my coffee I watched as the first rays of light started to appear above the field behind my house. The sky was dark with the looming possibility of snow, but somehow the area behind my house was perfectly clear and amazing to watch.  I watched the dark colors of purple and blue slowly give way to pinks and oranges against the night sky.  It truly was one of the most beautiful sun rises that I have ever seen.

As I sat there watching the sun rise I remembered the Yule ritual that I attended last night at Sacred Mists.  In the meditation the girl stayed up all night on Winter Solstice to watch the longest night of the year, and the newly risen Yule sun give way to morning.  It is Yule!  The Sun Father is reborn as the Sacred Child of the Solstice.  In the ritual last night part of the meditation centered around our home.  What's interesting is I saw my cottage. The one I believe to be from a past life, my sacred place this life if you will.  For you see that cottage is where I retreat to when I want to leave the cares of the day and travel to a place that's simple and loving.  The cottage is a one room cottage. At least I have not seen any other rooms in my time there.  It has a small front porch with an overhang and is on a lake surrounded by very tall evergreen trees.  As you walk into the cottage you are immediately greeted by the warmth of the fireplace on your face.  A kettle hangs over the fire and there are various cooking utensils on the hearth.  In front of the fire is a handmade wooden table with two chairs.  There is a bookcase in the room, and another shelf filled with herbs as well as various herbs hung around the cottage.  It is a simple place and one that is familiar to me. So I was very happy to have been there last night in meditation.

As we worked through the ritual last night, we worked with one quality that we wanted to rid ourselves of, and then we worked with a goal we wanted to replace it with for ourselves.  As we were doing this in the room each person typed into the ritual chat what they wanted to be rid of and what their goal was for the year.  This is when the energy really started to soar for me.  My fingertips were tingling and I could feel the magick that everyone attending the ritual was raising up.  It's just an amazing feeling when you feel this attending one of the rituals at the Mists.  It's the undeniable knowing that there is powerful energy going to work for the greater good of you and those who surround you.

As we closed the ritual and wished everyone a Blessed Yule I found myself absolutely starving! So I made myself a peanut butter sandwich and a hot cup of tea and perused the Sacred Mists shop for a few minutes to try to calm my mind from the excitement of the night.  It truly was a Blessed Evening.

On this day of Yule, may you and yours be blessed with loving energy and light.  May your hearts be warmed by the new sun, and your paths be ever illuminated for you.  May love an positive energy surround you always.

Love and Blessings

Yule Lore

Yule Lore (December 21st)

Yule is when the dark half of the year relinquishes to the light half. Starting the next morning at sunrise, the sun climbs just a little higher and stays a little longer in the sky each day. Known as Solstice Night, or the longest night of the year, much celebration was to be had as the ancestors awaited the rebirth of the Oak King, the Sun King, the Giver of Life that warmed the frozen Earth and made her to bear forth from seeds protected through the fall and winter in her womb. Bonfires were lit in the fields, and crops and trees were “wassailed” with toasts of spiced cider.

The Yule log for modern practitioners would be the type that is used as a base to hold three candles. Find a smaller branch of oak or pine, and flatten one side so it sets upright. Drill three holes in the top side to hold red, green, and white (season), green, gold, and black (the Sun God), or white, red, and black (the Great Goddess). Continue to decorate with greenery, red and gold bows, rosebuds, cloves, and dust with flour.

Deities of Yule are all Newborn Gods, Sun Gods, Mother Goddesses, and Triple Goddesses. The best known would be the Dagda, and Brighid, the daughter of the Dagda. Brighid taught the smiths the arts of fire tending and the secrets of metal work. Brighid’s flame, like the flame of the new light, pierces the darkness of the spirit and mind, while the Dagda’s cauldron assures that Nature will always provide for all the children.

Symbolism of Yule:
Rebirth of the Sun, The longest night of the year, The Winter Solstice, Introspect, Planning for the Future.

Symbols of Yule:
Yule log, or small Yule log with 3 candles, evergreen boughs or wreaths, holly, mistletoe hung in doorways, gold pillar candles, baskets of clove studded fruit, a simmering pot of wassail, poinsettias, christmas cactus.

Herbs of Yule:
Bayberry, blessed thistle, evergreen, frankincense holly, laurel, mistletoe, oak, pine, sage, yellow cedar.

Foods of Yule:
Cookies and caraway cakes soaked in cider, fruits, nuts, pork dishes, turkey, eggnog, ginger tea, spiced cider, wassail, or lamb’s wool (ale, sugar, nutmeg, roasted apples).

Incense of Yule:
Pine, cedar, bayberry, cinnamon.

Colors of Yule:
Red, green, gold, white, silver, yellow, orange.

Stones of Yule:
Rubies, bloodstones, garnets, emeralds, diamonds.

Activities of Yule:
Caroling, wassailing the trees, burning the Yule log, decorating the Yule tree, exchanging of presents, kissing under the mistletoe, honoring Kriss Kringle the Germanic Pagan God of Yule.

Spellworkings of Yule:
Peace, harmony, love, and increased happiness.

Deities of Yule:
Goddesses-Brighid, Isis, Demeter, Gaea, Diana, The Great Mother. Gods-Apollo, Ra, Odin, Lugh, The Oak King, The Horned One, The Green Man, The Divine Child, Mabon.

You need:
•1 part pine oil
•1 part fir oil
•5 part almond oil
•1 cinnamon stick
•1 drop musk oil
•4 cloves
Mix in bottle. Anoint on altar and candles.

Have a Blessed Yule!

You are enough...

Merry Meet,

I received an email from inspired home office this morning that had a blessings on it that I thought was beautiful.   As you go through the hustle and bustle of the season, I ask you to give yourself a present and remember that you ARE enough :))))

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

You are enough.

You are okay as you are right now.

You are not behind. You are exactly where you're supposed to be.

There is nothing else you should be doing except what you're doing right now.

Be where you are. Inhabit the space you're in. Know that you are safe.

Those shoulds don't have to run you. They're all just stories -- and are therefore negotiable.

Take a breath and remember this.

You can choose.

You can choose what you say yes to and what you release.

You are powerful.

And your time on the earth is precious. So, you can choose to use your time to love yourself. And others. You can choose to do only what you love.

You are worth it. You are worth the effort.

May you resolve to be completely, wonderfully, and unapologetically yourself this season. May you unwrap and discover the gift that is you.

Pagan Wreath Making

Merry Meet :)))

I become a crafty witch around the holidays.  Today we are spending the day making wreaths.  It's something I remember doing when I was little.  We are going out into the woods this afternoon to get the perfect branches for the wreaths, pine cones, winter berries, and whatever else strikes our fancy. I think this is a wonderful activity to get us outside during the winter, and our children if we are blessed with them.  The walk in the woods to search for branches and treasures for the wreath is always a treat.

History of the Wreath

As Witches the wreath represents the turning of the wheel of the year, an eternal circle turning through the darkness to the light.  The circular wreaths and it's candles are pre-Christian, and actually an old Pagan tradition that originated with the ancient Celtic people of Germany and Scandinavia.  These people worshiped the rhythms of the earth with the sun being central in importance to them.  During the Winter Solstice the Celts prayed for the sun's return and the reassurance that spring was coming. The center of these rituals was a living wreath.  The wreath was traditionally formed with evergreens.  It symbolized the unending circle of life and rotation of the seasons.  The evergreen was used as it's part of the earth that survives winters cold weather and darkness.  Traditionally candles were lit and set within the wreath bringing light to the darkness. The ritual was done with candles and ceremonial fires.  The wreath was displayed indoors.  Either hung like a chandelier or on top of a table or alter.  Later on in history the tradition was modified to include hanging the wreath on walls and doors.

How to Make Your Wreath

There are many ways to make wreaths.  The following is how I make them.

Materials
 - 2 wire coat hangers
 - floral wire
 - floral tape
 - Nature, evergreen branches, berries, pine cones and whatever else you wish to add.
 - hot glue gun optional - to help add pine cones berries etc

Take 2 wire hangers and set them 1/2 inch to an inch apart to form the base for your wreath.

Use floral tape to wrap around the hangers so that they stay in that position.

Use branches that are about 8" in length and start working your way around the wreath by laying a piece of branch on the hanger and wire wrapping it to the base.  Overlap them and keep repeating this process until the entire base is covered.

Add any decorations you wish with the floral wire or the hot glue gun.

Enjoy!

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

From my family to yours...

Merry Meet,

In honor of the season I really wanted to be able to give all of you who follow along with me something special for Yule.  What I wanted to share with you is a memory and a recipe.  Growing up, my grandmother pretty much lived with my family.  She was always there and I spent countless hours with her.  While I was going over memories of her with my mom the other day, I told my mom I would describe her as a pure soul, in that she had a pure loving heart.  I don't remember ever seeing her angry, and the love that poured from her was tremendous.  While she had not much for material items to give, she gave her love freely and was always making things during the holiday season.

Each Christmas season she would always help with the cooking.  I remember her making Italian Christmas cookies, fig ravioli cookies, and italian biscotte each year to bring to the relatives that we went to visit.  One of the things I was given when my grandmother moved onto the next world was a little tin box.  Something I cherish and will always cherish.  In this box she had collected all of her recipes.  I try each season to make one in honor of her memory.  But today I wanted to share with you her recipe for Italian Christmas cookies.  I hope you get the chance to make them and enjoy them as much as I did when I made them with her as a little girl.

Grandma's Italian Cookies

Ingredients
1 lb butter
1 dozen eggs large
1 3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
8 cups of flour
sprinkles different colors (to decorate)
2 boxes confectioner's sugar
chocolate kisses
jordon almonds

Beat eggs & sugar together for 10 - 15 seconds using mixer on high speed
Add in almond extract and mix until shining
Melt butter in bowl and add lemon and salt to it.
Add butter mixture, flour and baking powder to mix.

Once it's mixed make little balls, roll them out and shape them into an 8.

Bake at 325 degrees for 9 minutes or until light brown

For icing, mix confectioner's sugar with a bit of milk till it is the consistancy of icing.  Paint the icing onto the cookies and add sprinkles on top before the icing hardens. You can add a bit of extra almond extract to the glaze if you wish.

Add cookies to a bowl with kisses and almonds :))

Have a Blessed Yule,

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

Create a Gift of Love and Light

Merry Meet :))

It's that time of year.  Everyone is running here and there searching for that perfect gift.  If you are all done with your shopping for the holidays I will confess I'm jealous, as I still have much to do.  The days seem to be flying by for me and my time is becoming scarce.  However, part of it is going to the magick of the season.  I am making time to stop and enjoy the holidays with my children.  For example tonight is "Christmas Lights night." We are all going to pile in the car, grab some hot cocos and go drive around looking at all the beautiful lights.

This year though, I'm asking you to send out a very special gift.  Pick one person on your list, that is special to you.  Got one? You are going to give them an energy gift of love.  Don't worry I'll walk you through it. :))))  As a healer one of the things I do is stream healing loving energy to people to help them.  While it took me awhile to get the concept it's something that comes second nature for me now.

If you have never sent energy before the biggest thing I can tell you is don't try to make it complicated. So many times we go looking for something that is right in front of us.  Your intention and love is what makes this work.  So are you ready? Have that someone special in mind?

Here we go!

Pick a spot in the house that is comfy for you.  It can be anywhere you like just somewhere quiet where you can relax for a few minutes.  I want you to sit in that spot and just start breathing.  Long deep breaths in and out.  With each breath in I want you to imagine yourself breathing in pure loving energy.  With each breath out I want you to exhale any negativity or worries that you have on your mind.  You should feel the tension draining out of your body.

When you feel you are ready to move on I want you to think of your favorite holiday memory.  Try to put yourself back in that scene and remember all the details.  What did you see around you? Were there lights? A tree? What time of day was it?  What could you hear? Could you hear any music? Were there people talking? How about smells.  Any food cooking? The smell of a tree, candle, winter itself, anything stand out? Who was there with you? What else can you remember?  Now I want you to relax and try to settle into that memory and try to remember how you felt.  Did your heart feel full, do you remember how happy you were? Were you tingling with joy?

Take all that emotion and I want you to attempt to move it into a ball of energy in your hand.  Now this the majority of you will need to trust and will see it in your mind's eye.  Some of you who are gifted with seeing energy may be able to see it.  You might be able to feel it.  Can you feel your hands tingling? Work to move all that loving energy and craft a ball of light in your hands filled with all the loving energy that you held in that moment.  Spend some time with it.  Do you see any colors as you are doing it? Keep concentrating on your breathing and filling your heart with love as you are doing this.

When you feel you are ready I want you to ask the universe to help you.  Take a deep breath and blow onto your hands and concentrate on sending that ball of energy straight to the person you have chosen for your gift.  Ask the universe to deliver your love to that person for their higher self to accept.

Once you are done make sure you concentrate on sending any excess energy back to Mother Earth so it may be used for additional healing.  Take a deep breath.  How do you feel? :)))))  Know that you have just given someone one of the most important gifts of all.  One that you have made full of love and light and healing energy.  Know that the universe will deliver your gift as it is filled with love and honesty and good intentions.

May you all be Blessed with Love and Light this season.

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

To Be a Witch...

Merry Meet :))

I came across a video this morning that I was impressed with right away called the Heart of a Witch by Ms Julie Carol. She has done a series of short videos on being a witch.  If you are interested you can find her page here:  http://www.youtube.com/user/MsJulieCarol

Three of them however I was extremely taken with, and I thought she had a wonderful way of describing what it is like to be a witch. They are called: To Be A Witch, The Heart of a Witch, and The Life of a Witch.  So I took the time to write down her poems from each of the video.  I would still encourage those of you who have access to youtube to take time to look at the videos as the images and music these poems are set to are amazing.  She did a beautiful job.  I will put the link for each video after the poem. I hope you enjoy!

Love and Blessings,

To Be A Witch

Through the Ages, in Myths and Fairy Tales
Witches were said to be wicked....
We have been called many things, But now it truly can be said
Witches do not harm, We are the protectors and the healers
Yet, we also do not fear, That which is considered to be evil
It is evil that fears the Witch, Witches are amused by it's weakness
You can be sure that where the Witch is It will not show it's presence
The Witch will venture into places that others dare not go
The Witch eagerly seeks What most don't want to know
The Witch walks with the pentacle It is not only a symbol of balance
It is a Powerful Protective amulet That demands a benevolent reality
The Witch will travel To other planes of existance
It has been said that witch's fly but it's really astral projection
To travel on the astral plane Is a projection of awareness and energy
to keep watch over all or just to be nosey
Alteres states of consciousness Provide inspiration and lucid dreams
We see other realities and know that life is not what it seems
Our state of being is the Master of all that life is
A clear mind and inner peace is where power truly lives
The Witch's power of psychic ability and strength comes from ceremony and alignment
on every Sabbat and Esbat  a circle upon the earth, a sphere of sacred space
The witch connects with Consciousness suspended in time it is not a place
It is the universal mind The one beating heart
The rythm of life itself  that has been here from the start
As witches we are mindful of every word that we speak
mindful of our thoughts for they will eventually come to be
the witch can bring love and happiness to a heart that is hurting
some music and a special potion and you have a party
there are endless possibilities to the magick a witch creates
the witch can open a heart and erase all fear and hate
witches may have been feared long ago by sickened minds
but today fear or no fear never again the burning times
we are always learning more we inspire and we teach
to be a witch is enchanting to enchant is to be a witch

The Heart of a Witch

The practice of witchery is as old as time
to be a witch is to be chosen a calling that is divine
The divine guides the heart of the witch
A power that comes from within
The witch nurtures this power
It is the center of being the center of all that is
White and black witchery the difference is very clear
each is born from emotions within
one is love
one is fear
why would a witch with ancient wisdom of wise ways
perform black magick and acknowledge being afraid?
to know the power of the witch is to listen to the wind
to trust in the wisdom as you breathe in
to dare to feel the power of the witch
is to dare to let go of the hurt
to dare to heal with the passion of fire
is to dare to heal the world
to will the power of the witch
the witch must master a will that is unbreakable
a will that can move mountains
to keep silent the power of the witch is to not speak of magick casted
magickal energy has more strength unbroken with a clear path
to keep silent the power of a witch secret knowledge for the witch to keep
dreams, visions the heart of a wtich is a well that runs very deep
the art of witchcraft the art of ritual and spells
is a place of magick and mystery where the heart of a witch dwells

The Life of a Witch

The witch greets the day A candle is lit
with peace and gratitude In meditation she sits
she plans the day by the phases of the moon
she sweeps out the old to make room for the new
she sweetens the air with incense and oils
she cares for her herbs and waters the soil
because she listens she is given answers
there are things she knows when she works her magick
the people she loves in her heart she holds true
she only sees the right in all that they do
the seasonal  Sabbats are festive and fun
a feast of celebration to honor the sun
in the Esbat circle she draws down the power
from the full moon at the midnight hour
when the sun sets low and the witch ends her day
in her bath of salt she washes away
all that not right and what she wants to change
another candle is lit only gratitude remains

Rudolph Magick

Merry Meet :))))

I drove my son to preschool just a little while ago, and on my drive was contemplating what to write about today.  I have quite a few ideas roaming about, but I hadn't settled into one yet.  When we got to the school I got ready to walk Cole in and he was clutching his stuffed Rudolph in his arms.  "Cole, we have to leave that here." I told him.  His eyes started welling up and I braced myself for the argument I knew that was coming.  But Mommy, I want to introduce him to my friends.  I love him.  With that he pressed Rudolph's nose up to his, and gave me the sweetest puppy dog eyes.  *sigh*  He knows just how to get me.  That innocent voice and those puppy dog eyes.  I started questioning how big of a deal it would be to "break my rules" and let him bring in Rudolph to see his friends.

Cole stared at me knowing he had won.  I didn't even have to say anything, he just knew.  He jumped into my arms with Rudolph and said oh thank you mommy!  All the way up to the school he held Rudolph out in front of him and introduced Rudolph to pretty much every person we walked by.  You would think he was personally escorting Rudolph himself around his school.

But that's the thing.... for Cole he was.  Can you remember back to the age of 4 when everything was magickal, and stuffed animals really were alive and the spirit of the holidays were all around you.  When you couldn't wait to watch shows like Rudolph on tv because they took you to that magickal place again.  I remember it was a big deal during the season when those specials came on.  I'll age myself here a bit. lol  Back then we didn't have videos or any of that, you waited to watch those "specials" each year around the holidays and it was a huge deal.  You got to stay up late and have popcorn.  It's a tradition of the holidays that I miss. One that I've actually tried to start bringing back with my little ones this year, and yes Rudolph is on the list.

I watched Cole, beaming as he walked into that school with his friend Rudolph in tow.  When he got to his classroom I braced myself thinking it might be an issue that we brough him in. His teacher gave the biggest smile and said "Well, hey there Rudolph! I thought you were busy at the North Pole, so nice of you to join us today!" And all the little eyes in the room lit up as they gathered around Cole to bring Rudolph.

It's funny as  a Mom you spend time enforcing these things that "should" be done.  I bent the rules this afternoon and the joy it brought both to my son and his class was incredible.  Cole brought not only Rudolph to school but that holiday magick as well to his class and to me.  As I remember back when I was little how those moments felt, and that magick.

Do you remember?

Long Nights Moon - Full Moon Tonight :)

Merry Meet :))

Did any of you happen to see the eclipse early this morning? I'm in New England so it was very difficult to see, but I have been sent pictures of it that were absolutely beautiful. :))))  Thank you to those who shared with me.

Tonight is the night of the Long Nights full moon.  It's the last full moon of the calender year.   This moon is also known as the Cold Moon or the Big Winter Moon.   Native Americans called this moon the Full Cold Moon or the Full Long Nights Moon.  I betcha you can guess where this months full moon got it's name from.  It's known for the long hard winter  and the longest and darkest nights of the year.  Even though we are in the darkest time of the year, know that we will be coming back into the light soon.  Use tonight to reflect on where you have been and where you want to go in 2012.

The full moon is a time to banish things in your life that you don't want.  Release those habits that you don't want to bring forward with you.  Open yourself up to healing energy to prepare for the New Moon in a couple weeks.  Tonight is also a great night to do protection work or any divination.  Envision the light of the full moon cleansing you of any negativity. With the lunar eclipse from this morning the energy is especially wonderful to work with.

For Tonight try to work the following into your magick:

Colors: White, red, and black
Gemstones: Obsidian, ruby, serpentine
Trees: Pine, holly
Gods: Minerva, Osiris, Athena, Persephone and Hades
Herbs: Ivy, mistletoe, holly and berries, cinnamon
Element: Fire

Love and Blessings to You All   )0(

Women's Work

**artwork by Tigress83**
Merry Meet,

Each morning I read the Daily Om. You can find their website here: http://www.dailyom.com/   I always love them, but today's I found particularly relevant and inspiring.  We live in an economy where two incomes are almost necessary, unless you are among the lucky ones who can handle things on one income.  The cost of everything has been increasing.  Moms (and Dads) who are just that, a full-time mom or dad are becoming harder and harder to find.  I've also found the respect dwindling for those who chose this life past and I think that it's sad.  While I respect that everyone doesn't have the option to have one parent stay home, I do believe that a stay at home mom or dad should be respected just as much as anyone who goes out in the "field" to work.  I grew up with my mom always home and I am working hard to maintain that lifestyle for my children today.  I work from home, but I am a full-time mom first and foremost.  This enables me to participate in all my children's extra activities, like sports, girl scouts, volunteering at the schools etc.  I've been criticized for it many times being told to go get a "real job." Something that has always bugged me.  However I still choose to walk this path, and do my best to create an income from home so that I may give my children that extra time and those extra opportunities.  Again, for those who don't have the option I completely understand, and I'm not against having two parents that work. I am however for celebrating those stay at home mom's and dad's and recognizing that their jobs are important as well. :))))))))) So if you are a full time mom or dad, be proud of what you do. :)))) You have a very important job in this world.  With that, Daily Om did a wonderful job with this, and I wanted to share what they wrote.

Women's Work

Tending the Hearth

The importance of tending the hearth that nurtures all who bask in its warmth is a beautiful thing.

In the recent past, the term women's work has come to have a derogatory connotation. Women's work encompasses all the domestic chores that have historically been associated only with women—cooking, cleaning, and raising children. Whenever a person is limited to only certain kinds of work in a society, there is a need to break free from that work in order to inhabit a place of choice. However, when we choose to do women's work because we enjoy it, there is nothing degrading about it. There is an honor to it, and when done alone or in a group this work can be truly meaningful and fulfilling because the home is the foundation of security for all who live in it. The importance of tending the hearth that nurtures all who bask in its warmth cannot be overstated.

In addition to being essential to the functioning of the world, women's work offers creative fulfillment, intimate interaction, and personal satisfaction. The more we become aware of the significance of this realm of labor, the more fulfilling it will be to those who do the work and those who benefit from it. A well-set table and a delicious, healthy meal can heal us on multiple levels. Clean, crisp sheets on a bed allow us to enter a deep slumber, inspiring a sense of safety and trust. Our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health all rest upon the smooth functioning of our homes.

The gift of women's work, which still often comes from the hands of women, now also comes from fathers, husbands, and hired help. Whatever the source, our sincere gratitude upon receiving these treasures reminds us of the profound value of what is traditionally known as women's work. The more we acknowledge the tremendous importance of this work, the more we are able to do it with a sense of pride, never feeling for a moment that our efforts are less significant or meaningful than those working outside the home—on the contrary, it is this work that makes all other work possible.

Crystal Children and Autism

Merry Meet,

I am being encouraged to write about the Autistic child and ask you to consider the fact that they may be Crystal Children.  I am not saying that all of them are, but to encourage you to see them in a different light and consider the possibilities.  If you are the parent of an Autistic child, or know one who is, I ask you to consider the following, and I would love your feedback on the issue.

This is a theory that I first encountered from Doreen Virtue, and her work with the Crystal Children.  I will post links to her articles at the end of this.

Characteristics of a Crystal Child

The crystal children first started coming here between 1990 - 2010, although there were a few early "scouts" who came before that. Their purpose here is to help us recognize our true nature and higher power and to help us adapt to an ever evolving earth.  These children are extremely sensitive. In sense, they are empaths.  They can feel everything that you are feeling, but let's take this a step further, they can see into your soul as well.  You cannot deceive a Crystal Child as your soul is laid bare for them.  They are extremely intuitive.  They see the world different then us.  As they are sensitive to all the energy of this world, they spend much of their time "seeing" differently then we do.  They see energy, and light, and love and who you truly are.  They are capable of communicating telepathically, it comes naturally to them.

Many of them will not start speaking till much later in life as they don't feel a need to.  If you are a mom of one of these children you will probably notice that they do not need to speak. For you always understand their needs and at times you swear you can communicate with them without it needing to be verbal.  Yes, you are most likely communicating with them telepathically.  These Crystal Children choose their parents very carefully.  Because of their mission here, they make sure that they are born to very loving parents who are spiritually evolved so that they can help to pave the way for them. As a result there are reports from parents of Crystal children that their parents psychic abilities have increased as a result of their birth.

I am one of them.  My son is a crystal child.  I have been gifted all my life, but do to the nonacceptance of society of sensitives I schooled myself not to see.  My son's birth reawoke these gifts in me.  I understood that when he was born a big part of my life was to pave the way for him.  My son is not autistic, however, I have had people concerned about his speech my entire life.  However I've never had an issue understanding him.  We have a very intense bond and I can feel his energy as I know he can feel mine.

A lot of these children get commented that they are old souls and wise beyond their years.  When they do decide to speak you will be astounded by some of the things they say.  They are like wise ones wandering around in little bodies.  As that is indeed what they are.  One of the most significant phsycial features is their eyes.  They are usually large and very soothing but piercing.  When they look at you, you can just feel them connect to you almost as if they are starting into your soul, for indeed that's essentially what they are doing.
Part of the reason they got their name is they also will have a strong connection to rocks and crystals.  The following list is from Doreen Virtue on their characteristics.

 - Have large, communicative eyes and an intense stare.
 - Are highly affectionate.
 - Begin speaking later in life, but often uses telepathy or self-invented words or sign language to communicate.
 - Love music and may even sing before talking.
 - Are extremely connected to animals and nature. Are often very interested in rocks, crystals, and stones.
 - Are extremely artistic.
 - Are highly empathic and sensitive.
 - Are forgiving and generous to others.
 - Draw people and animals near them and love attention.
 - Often have good sense of balance and are fearless when exploring high places.
 - Often see or hear angels and spirit guides - both they’re own and others’. Dislike high-stress environments with many distractions.
 - Dislike loud/sharp sounds.
 - Dislike bright, unnatural lights.
-Often enjoy choosing their own meals and/or when they eat them.
 - Often speak about universal love and healing.
 - Sometimes show healing gifts at young ages.
 - Don’t react well to sugar, caffeine, or unnatural foods/chemicals.
 - Dislike fighting or refuse to keep an argument going very long.
 - Often show strength in telekinesis (or Psychokinesis).
 - Often amplify emotional energies they gain from their environment (such as negative energies).
 - Can become uncomfortable when around electrical devices too long (watching TV, computer, etc.), sometimes resulting in a trance-like state.
 - Sometimes seem ‘clingy’ to their parents until 4 or 5.
 - Often stare at people for long periods of time (this allows them to read a person and find out more about them through their own personal memories and energy).
 - Can sometimes be manipulative and throw tantrums if they cannot create a reality that is good for them.
 - Are easily over-stimulated and need to meditate/be alone often to replenish themselves.
 - Don’t usually have trouble with fear or worry.
 - Enjoy discussing spiritual or philosophical topics.
 - May appear to be looking at nothing or talking to no one (sign of clairvoyance and/or clairaudience).

My son has many of these characteristics. I know that I am raising a crystal child.  If anyone has any questions about them, or needs any assistance please feel free to message me and I will do my best to help you as well.

As far as crystal children relating to autism.  I am no expert on the autistic child.  However, I know that we live in a society that is quick to diagnose someone who is different as having something wrong with them rather then recognizing that they may have a gift.  I am not saying that all autistic children are Crystal children, however I believe that a good amount may be. Crystal children are extremely sensitive and our society can be shocking to them.  If they are unable to adapt properly they can become withdrawn, seem to exist in "another world", not communicate with others well, and become extremely frustrated with their surrounding.

While they are highly evolved, that is a part of the issue.  They are evolved much higher then what we are use to seeing. If we don't recognize who they are and encourage them and enjoy their light and love then they can become products of our society and labeled as having "something wrong."

So for those of you who are moms of autistic children, or even have a close relationship with one I ask you to look into them and see if any of these characteristics are recognizeable.  I ask you to consider if they may indeed be gifted and just having a hard time adjusting to life here.  Reach out to them and see if some nontraditional methods may help with them.  Try to communicate with them intuitively and see what happens.   Play soft music around them.  Get them outside as much as possible.  See how they react to different types of rocks and gemstones.  Watch what they are eating as they may be sensitive to wheat, gluten, sugar, caffeine, and dairy. Try to get them to be artistic with paints and other medium and see if it helps.  Send them your loving energy.  Picture a ball of white light filled with love surrounding them.  Sending energy is indeed that easy.  If your intention is true, then divine guidance will assist you.

For those of you who are just parents of crystal children.  Read as much as you can about them.  Get to know their characteristics and possible obstacles. Be their advocate.  Recognize that they may speak slower in life, don't take to heart those who are wanting to label your child.  Look inside your heart for what you think to be true.  Because odds are if you have a crystal child, then you are an advocate for the divine as well and are here to guide them. Many of us are Indigo children that they are paired with.  I will get into Indigo children in a different blog entry.  Be that guide for your children, for they are indeed amazing gifts sent to us. I also highly recommend Doreen Virtues book The Crystal Children.

When You Wish Upon a Star.....

Merry Meet :))

There it is again! As I struggle to open my eyes, I can hear it.... "When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires, will come to you."  I rub my eyes as I listen to it clear as a bell in my head.  I wander out to get my coffee and realize this is starting to become a familiar morning scene for me. For the past five mornings in a row, I have woken up with the song "When You Wish Upon A Star" in my head.  I chalked it up to coincidence the first day or two thinking it made sense to me as I've been happy lately and things have been going well with Wiccan Moonsong.  I just assumed it was me being happy about making the leap to work it full time.  I started thinking it was a little curious the third day I woke up and it was again the first thing in my head as I opened my eyes. When I get messages that are important in my sleep I tend to still hear or see them right when I wake up.  I've also caught myself humming it the last few days.  My guides know I need things to be a bit more obvious so last night they indulged me.   Last night I found myself with a bit of quiet time.  Rare around here. :)  So I looked On Demand and decided to watch one of the episodes of  the series "Once Upon a Time" that I hadn't seen yet.  The episode was all about the origin of Jiminy Cricket, a fairy tale I actually wasn't familiar with.

A grown up Jiminy Cricket was living with his parents in a gypsy camp traveling from town to town to make a living.  However, his family wasn't happy with just the money they were receiving from the marionette show that they put on and they dragged him about on pick-pocketing expeditions and swindling people out of money.  Jiminy tried hard to convince his parents to stop their ways but they didn't listen to them and he reluctantly followed along thinking it was his only option.

So Jiminy being really unhappy with his life wishes to be free of the burden.  So he goes to Rumpelstilskin's lair.  There Rumpelstilskin makes him a powder that he tells him to give to his parents and leave them where they are as Rumpelstilskin will pick them up for payment.  So Jiminy tucks the potion in his pocket and heads back to his parents.  That night his parents decide to swindle a younger couple by telling them that the black plague is coming and selling them this "elf powder" that will protect them.  They convince them that it is the last powder available and that they are reluctant to sell it.  The couple runs around their house gathering all sorts of treasures in exchange for this precious bottle of "elf powder" that will save them from the black plague. Jiminy is clearly disturbed the entire time they are in there fed up with taking people's money.  When they get outside with all the goods Jiminy tries one more time to talk to his parents, telling them that they just hurt good people.  His parents tell them that these good people should be more careful.  Upset Jiminy pulls the vile out of his poket that Rumpelstilskin gave him and throws it at his parents.

He waits, and watches all but holding his breath as.... nothing happens.  His parents look back at him smiling as Jiminy feels sick knowing what they have done.  They have switched his vile of the magick potion with the fake elf potion.  Jiminy races back to the cottage trying to save the couple that he just swindled with his parents but he is too late.  The couple have been turned into marionette's and sit on a bench in the corner.  Horrified Jiminy turns around to find the couple's son coming through the door who is instantly devestated by the site of his lost parents.

So Jiminy goes out and wishes on a star that night with all his might to turn the parents back.  The blue fairy arrives and says that she cannot turn the parents back as the damage is done.  She tells Jiminy that the young boy will need guidance now that he has no parents.  Needing a disguise the blue fairy asks what he wishes to be.  Jiminy listens to the crickets, and the blue fairy nods.  She turns Jiminy into Jiminy Cricket, a guide for the boy.  That boy.. grows up to be Gepetto.

"When You Wish Upon a Star" is the song from Pinnochio. :))) It all made sense to me now.

"When your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme." This is one of the quotes from Pinnochio and I firmly believe it.  I believe that you can indeed have whatever you wish to have in life if your heart is in it.

First, you need to listen to your conscience and the consciousness of your higher self though and be true to yourself.  Make sure you listen to your higher consciousness, it will never be negative, it only loves you and wants you to live a happy life.  When you hear things that are negative about you, that's your mundane consciousness that you need to learn to hush.  You can and are capable of doing whatever you want if you believe in you. When you put out nothing but loving and positive energy it will come back to you.  That's what we believe as Wiccans.  We believe in the Law of Three, in that whatever energy you put into the world, be it positive or negative will return to you three times.  Think about that.... it can make a huge difference in how your day, week, month and entire life goes.  I challenge you to try it for a day, where you work hard to only put out positive energy and hold positive thoughts and let me know how your day goes, if things don't improve for  you.  Is it easy? No. :)) Nothing worth having is ever easy, but it can be done. :)

Second, you really need to search inside of you for where your "true self" is.  Your true self is your inner self, how you would be were you not restricted by anything, money people etc, where you would be most happiest and what you would be doing.  It can be difficult to find but you just need to pay attention to what makes you the most happy and follow that.  Be true to yourself.  Don't do things just because other people want you to, or they tell you it's what should be done.  Judge for yourself and follow your heart to do what comes natural for you.  Find your heart and your natural talents and find that and you can't lose.  For if you find that, that area is where you will excel.  It's you, and it's what you were meant to do.  It's a step to find your personal path.  So take a deep breath, look inside you, feel your heart and the love inside you, learn to love yourself, and make that wish upon a star.  Take a leap of faith in YOU. :))))))

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you

If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing

Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true

Merry Meet :))

It's launched! The newsletter list for Wiccan Moonsong is now active.  I spent a lot of time scouting out programs to send out newsletters and getting all set up today.  I must confess most of the time was spent making the graphic for sign-up as I just couldn't let there be a plain white box on my blog. You know me and my sparkles. :)))

The newsletter will be starting in January.  I am anticipating it coming out once a week.  Contained within the newsletters will be updates about what's going on over at Wiccan Moonsong, what's happening with me, cool things I've found for you to check out, and some goodies and contests for you to enter.  I am currently scouting out businesses who are willing to donate prizes in exchange for advertising in the newsletter and on the blog so if you are interested please email me at JasmeineMoonsong@gmail.com.

For those of you who are interested the daily wiccan quotes and daily affirmations have their own homes now. :)) I decided to keep them seperate from this blog.  So if you would like to see them I'm going to post the links below.  There's also a subscription button on each page if you want to sign up to receive them by email.

Well you're quite the little Medical Intuitive now aren't you....

"A medical intuitive is an alternative medicine practitioner who uses their self described intuitive abilities to find the cause of a physical or emotional condition. " - Wikipedia

Merry Meet,

"Well now you're quite the little medical intuitive now aren't you", he said as he watched for a reaction from me.  I didn't say much, but swallowed and stared back at him.  This was the scene in the genetic counselor's office this morning as I was getting ready to have blood drawn for DNA assessment.

Confused? Let me back up a bit. :)  For as long as I can remember my mother has had very large cysts on both of her kidneys.  She has been diagnosed by a nephrologist (doctor specializing in the kidneys) as having polycistic kidney disease.  Polycystic kidney disease is a kidney disorder passed down through families in which many cysts form in the kidneys, causing them to become enlarged.  Not a diagnosis you want to have.  In any event.  They diagnosed us (yes, I've been diagnosed as well) after I had complications with my daughter's birth resulting from a very very large cyst on my kidney.

I'm not much into being labeled with long term diseases, and if I honestly sat down and listed everything I've been diagnosed with throughout the years I could write a book, so I wasn't much for accepting this diagnosis and being labeled with it without some sort of concrete proof. One of the problems with polycystic kidney disease is there is no concrete test, unless you have a DNA test done, a test that is extremely difficult to get insurance companies to cover.

Polycystic kidney disease is genetic, but supposedly you are suppose to have bilateral cysts, (cysts on each kidney) and high blood pressure.  Two red banner symptoms.  I have them on one side, and am actually the opposite I have low blood pressure.  However it is genetic.  Thus has been my argument for why I do not have it.  Sounds logical enough but I have been disagreed with many times by many doctors.

Where this gets tricky is that my mother has been fighting this "disorder" for years, in that she has very high blood pressure and has been getting prescribed various medications in order to lower her blood pressure as a result of this kidney disease.  It's pretty much been nonresponsive.

"So my issue is this, I don't feel I have it, I'm pretty positive my mother doesn't have it, and I actually feel like she has a different condition which is causing her blood pressure to spike.  I want this DNA test to prove that we do not have polycystic kidney disease so that they find the other condition that is causing my mother's blood pressure to spike." I told the doctor.  My parent's insurance isn't brilliant and they are fighting her on covering the test but mine will cover it so here I am.

He looked at me, and that's when he called me a medical intuitive.  (If he only knew how true that was with me) but I wasn't about to say that out loud.  After sitting in his office for over an hour he tells me that he agrees with me.  I about fell off my chair.  He does not believe we have polycystic kidney disease.  Not only that but he isn't going to run the DNA test for it.... I got ready to argue again why I wanted this test to prove I didn't have it.  But in that pause he filled it in with because I believe based on everything you've told me that you and your mother have Von-Hippel-Lindau Syndrome and that a cyst on her adrenal glands is causing her high blood pressure and can be fixed by a different medication.  Hence why the medication she's on isn't working. "I think it's about time you both got some answers and a proper diagnosis" he tells me.

So the DNA test is being done.  I will find out in one month if we have this Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome.  I am going in with my mother to get the results in January as the results will diagnose both of us at the same time as it's a DNA test. If I get diagnosed positive I will have a very hard time getting life insurance but he assures me that it's a manageable condition.  I'm not worried about it.  I'm happy that my mother hopefully will have the answers that will help her health and make her comfortable again.  And also hoping that this test will confirm what I've felt all along.

I'm not a doctor.  I don't have the medical terminology, but I can see and feel energy.  When I scan a body with my hands I will sense hot and cold that helps me to determine where and what type of injuries or sicknesses are there.  I also can see energy.  I don't know how to even begin describing that but we'll call it a color coded map of the body in my mind? I know that it's accurate as I've tested it out many times. It definitely has increased since I got my Reiki attunement and started working with Reiki more.  Throw in my ability to feel what other's feel as an empath and it helps tremendously.  I will be surprised if this test doesn't come back positive.  But even if it doesn't I have a doctor who is willing to listen to me and look in the areas that I'm suggesting which is huge to me.

Love and Blessings,

Published on Amazon :))))

Merry Meet :))

I am very very excited.  *jumps around and does the happy dance*  As many of you know my primary work at home business went belly up on September 28, 2011 with a "minor" update that Google made to their search engines.  I made my living working from home as an affiliate marketer for google.  With their update, it cut my income by 80%.  Long story short.

I took that along with many other things around me that it was a sign to finally move on.  To dedicate my life to what I feel to be my life's purpose of helping others and working as a lightworker.  I committed myself to Wiccan Moonsong full time.  (Well as full-time as you can be with two children a furbaby and a house to run) I am now running my blog full time.  In the past 6 weeks my Wiccan Moonsong Facebook  has gone from 250 fans to 1,350.  Thank you!! :))))  The Daily Wiccan Affirmations, and Daily Spiritual quotes are now running every day both on my facebook page and on their own blogs entwined with my website.

But what I am bouncing off the walls with excitement today for is my blog getting published on Amazon Kindle!! :)))) I am soooooo excited.  I submitted it the other day, knowing it had to go through an approval process and wondering if I would be accepted.  I got the letter that I have been accepted, and Wiccan Moonsong is now available on the Kindle! You can see it here: Wiccan Moonsong for Amazon Kindle  I am still waiting for the graphics to be uploaded to the page on amazon hopefully in the next day or two.  But I was too excited to wait any longer to share it with all of you.

This was a huge step for me and I am most proud to have this happen.  :))) I have taken a huge leap of faith in making this a full-time venture and it was just a wonderful affirmation for me to see that I had been accepted.  I will be coming out with a newsletter in the next week and offering signups on the blog, website and hopefully the facebook page.  I am anticipating the newsletter to go out either weekly or bi-weekly.  It should be starting to be mailed out in the new year.

I am also still working on my book for empaths. :))))  I'm hoping to have that out in the Spring or early fall of 2012.  I'm on my way!

A sincere thank you to all of you who have supported me, contacted me with uplifting messages, and played a part in this.  Your support means the world to me.  It is giving me the extra strength to walk this path and it is appreciated much more then you know.

Love and Blessings,

Angel from my past

Merry Meet :)))

Yesterday I had a present life regression of sorts done on me.  I've been working with someone who specializes in EMDR which is a type of therapy to help reprogram memories that may be traumatic.  That's the simple explanation. Yesterday we were working with a memory from when I believe myself to be about two.  We went back into this memory just like you would in a past life regression.  It always amazes me the detail I am able to recall.  I remembered exactly what my room looked like, the crib I was in, how I felt at the time and so on.   We were about a half hour into working with this memory and I was describing the anxiety I had felt and all of a sudden I was blown away by what I was seeing. I am still baffled by it today.  I will describe it as best I can in case any of you have seen something similar.

While I was in my crib, a amber ball of light began to form.  The color of it was just warm and amazing.  This was no small orb.  I would guess it about 2 feet in height? Based on what I was seeing.  The center or core of it  was glowing the most amazing comforting color I have ever seen. As it moved away from the center the light got a bit fainter, and around the edges was a shimmering white light.  Not huge sparkles, just a "oooh pretty" type of shimmer.  Bear with me as it's very hard to articulate what I saw. It also had a flame like pattern as it moved away from the core? Not flames, but that swirly type of misty pattern. Sortof like you would see in a plasma ball. I attempted to find a picture or create a picture and was having no luck.  More frustrated because I couldn't get it to look exactly as I wanted.  There was a very subtle music coming from it.  I mean barely audible, but it was beautiful.  The biggest thing I remember is the sensation I felt during it.  I was completely awestruck.  I was immediately calmed and just absolutely mesmerized.  I knew in that moment that everything was going to be fine.  Everything was good and loving.  As I struggled to describe it in the regression I compared it to an angel.  I do believe that's what it was.

Another thing that stands out to me is how familiar the sensation was that I felt in that moment.  I have felt this several times throughout my life.  One key time I really remember this sensation was when I saw almost a full-bodied apparition of my grandfather.  I was just mesmerized.  Didn't want to move, involved in the moment.  Body almost tingling with love and this warm sensation.  After it happened I was like what in the world was that! Did I really just see that! But in the moment none of that went through my mind.

So I put this out there to all of you, as I know many of you who read my blog have the gift of sight as well, have you ever seen or heard of anything like this? I read some bits here and there on google that angels or spirit guides can show up as orange energy.  I'm assuming I saw it so clearly as I was around two and hadn't schooled myself not to see at that point in my life.  It was just the most beautiful loving experience. So I wanted to share.  I'm still having my did I really see that moments, but I honestly believe, because the sensation was so familiar to me that it was what I saw that day. The detail was incredible.

Renewing Self

Merry Meet :))

...A little divine intervention and a sincere thank you for the gift I received.

I have always loved the beach, the smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm.

This past weekend I was very lucky and had the opportunity to spend 4 days and 3 nights in Wells Maine with my kids.  We were getting our floors in our house tiled this weekend and I had been stressing about what I was going to do with my kids as we wouldn't be able to be home much at all over the three day weekend, and we really weren't suppose to walk on the tile at all. I had known about the tile for a month and had been looking for a place to stay for awhile.    However money is tight and I couldn't find anything that I could justify spending the money on as everything I saw was at least $100 a night.

The tile was to be started the day after Thanksgiving.  On Thanksgiving night we came home from the family dinners and I felt the urge to give my search one last look. I started scanning the last minute deals.  In my mind I was thinking that if I could find a place for $100 for the weekend I would do it. Then my practical self started arguing with me, that a price like that was absurd.  I was really tired so dismissed my logical side. lol :) I was looking at places in my state, Massachusetts.  All of a sudden I had an urge to check Maine.  So I typed in Maine.  The first ad caught my eye.  Three nights for $99.00.   Really? I rubbed my eyes.  I knew this was it.  The motel was called the SeaMist in Wells, Maine.  It wasn't far from the ocean, had an inground pool, 2 queen size beds, and a kitchenette that had a fridge and microwave.  It was absolutely perfect!

I silently said my thank you's and called them to book the deal.  I just knew this was meant to be.  My son had been asking to go to the beach for the last week and here it was! So now instead of being stressed about having to have my children out of the house for three days I was bouncing off the walls excited.  I ran in to tell my children and we all started getting things packed as we would have to leave at 8:00 the next morning.

We had the most amazing weekend.  The weather was actually fantastic. It was sunny and almost 60 degrees most of the weekend.  Warm enough to spend lots of time on the beach and outside with a very light jacket on. We spent the first day on the beach picking up all kinds of shells and marveling at the sealife in the little tidal pools on the beach.  We actually saw starfish. :)))) My kids were very excited.

On the second day we spent the day hiking in Wells Reserve at Laudholm.  It's old farmland that was originally settled in 1643 by Henry Boade.  It was absolutely beautiful. It combined the best of an old farm and fields, and mountains, the marsh and the ocean all in one.  If you are ever in Wells, Maine I highly recommend it. :))  My son and daughter had a blast reading the trail map and walking the different trails.  The energy in that area was just incredible.  So relaxing.  It was like walking back in time 300 years and it was just my children and I and the natural beauty around us.

We also spent a lot of time in Perkins Cove. Perkins Cove is in Ogunquit Maine, one town over from where we were. It's a little cove with boats, shopping, and an amazing walk along the cliffs of the ocean.  Another place that just feels like home to me.  I normally don't like shopping but we loved walking the quaint little artisan shops and seeing the artists at work.  The walkway was incredible.  I actually was able to let go and go down onto the rocks themselves with my children.  Something you would appreciate if you were there. lol :)

It was amazing to see how relaxed and happy myself and my children were.  It was truly a gift for me where I could focus just solely on my children for a few days and enjoy the best of nature in an area that I have dreams of moving to one day.  This vacation was the first time I have taken both my children overnight anywhere.  It was a small victory for me.  I finally felt independent and free.  On this weekend I was able to share with my children my personal dream.  I was true to myself this weekend.  As I was in my element I was completely comfortable as we stopped at various beaches and I taught them what I knew about the nature around us, and pointed out the amazing beauty surrounding us everywhere.  This trip was truly a gift for me.  A renewal of self and affirmation of how I want my future to look.  Given all the work I've been doing with affirmations lately and working towards my true self and my future, it honestly made perfect sense to me.  I am very blessed to have had that opportunity. I have always loved Maine, and one day I hope to have the opportunity to live there with my children.

Overnight in the Museum of Science

Merry Meet :)))

Picture 450 girls locked in a Museum of Science overnight......what do you get? The greatest sleepover ever and a lot of tired little girls. :)))

We were to be there at 5:00 in the evening.  The first thing that jumped out at me was 5:00 traffic downtown Boston.  Awesome. Second thing, yep sun is setting about 4:15 here now.  Hmmmm so I'm going to be driving in a city, during rush hour traffic at night.  *gulp*  I'm not one for driving in cities or at night.  Think "country girl" lol  So I was already nervous.  Toss in the fact that I am a highly sensitive empath and am going to be locked in with a ton of people overnight.  Nah, wasn't nervous at all! I really wanted to go though.  When I was little I stayed overnight at the Children's museum in Boston and loved it.  So yes, yes, I had volunteered to go and help chaperone.

My solution for driving in downtown Boston traffic was my trusty GPS.  I love my GPS.  It gives me a freedom to go anywhere and not worry about getting lost.  As we finally approached the city, it was definitely dark, but funny thing about cities, they have TONS of lights! So I relaxed a little bit, following the little map ticking by on my GPS.  So we started down into one of the many tunnels in Boston.  Hmmm here's another thing I get nervous with, going underground and driving in tight spaces.  I'll be ok, I thought to myself.  I cranked my music up and just tried to maneuver in the underground maze of Boston. I was actually handling everything well, and then my GPS said the dreaded thing to me.  "Lost Signal".  What???? Are you kidding me??? but but but I have like 4 turns coming up, no idea which way to go? What was the name of that road? I silently cursed myself for looking more at the picture on the GPS then the road titles.  I spent about 10 more minutes underground, making choices that sounded right to me? Going with intuition GPS here and prayed for the lights of the City of Boston to come back to me.

I finally made my way out of the tunnel and breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw the light and my GPS came back on.  Ok take a left onto... Unknown???? Wait a minute.  Unknown is a bridge that goes over the highway.  Panic started creeping up again.  Really? So apparently my GPS can't tell the difference between a road on the ground, underground, or overhead.  Yeah, no that's not an issue in Boston at all.  I found myself weaving through lanes of traffic trying not to get hit, and scrambling for my iphone to get the directions from the museum website hoping to find something that could save me.  I thought of pulling over I don't know how many times and calling someone for help, but really? What are they gonna do for me? They can't see me, and have no way to help me.  No, it's just me and Melody out here in the big city and I'm gonna have to make this work.

More deep breathing.  I can do this. I told myself.  I kept saying it over and over.  I managed to find two streets listed on the website and told my daughter to look for them.  Finally we saw one of them.  After almost 45 minutes of driving around downtown Boston we finally made it into the Parking Garage at the Museum.  I can tell you I all but kissed the concrete floor as I stepped out of my car shaking all over.  I took a few deep breaths and admired the city lights.  Calming myself before I walked into what I knew was going to be a very crowded museum.  I was proud of myself for being calm and getting us there in one piece. lol

Melody and I walked into the room. She was letting out excited little squeals of excitement as little girls do when they are excited as we walked into the museum.  I hadn't been to the Boston Museum of Science in years and I can tell you it is absolutely enormous.  We walked into this area that had animal exhibits.  The first one I saw was of a Mother fox watching her cubs playing.  I took it as a sign.  The red fox has become a third animal guide for me along with my Hawk and Wolf.  I have seen her many times in meditations and just seeing this exhibit immediately made me more comfortable.  I mean what are the odds of running into this exhibit as the first one in a museum of this size? I let my daughter run up the hallway for a moment as we checked out all the animal exhibits in this gallery.  I was finally starting to relax and realized we were going to have an amazing night.

Next step is to check in!  We figured out where we were suppose to go and were given maps and an itinerary for our overnight.  I scanned it quickly.  Lights out at Midnight.  Midnight? oh my wow.  Ok that's ok, little late for the little ones but they probably wouldn't fall asleep till around that time anyway so why not have them in activities.  Lights on......6:45.  Huh? Museum opens at 10, and they're gonna bounce me outta bed at 6? arghhhh.  Happy to note that it says coffee is available.  Clearly we won't be sleeping much tonight. lol   Each troop is assigned a place to sleep for the night.  We were told that we would be sleeping in the bird exhibit. I was kinda hoping to sleep under a huge dinosaur but that works! We wanted to see where we were sleeping so we looked at the map to figure out where this was. It was in the basement of the museum.  As soon as I walked in I saw him.  My Hawk! :))))))) The room was filled with cases of birds and they had a birds chirping recording, which I was able to pick out my hawk in.  The bird exhibit is a great place for me to sleep I thought.  Wow, two signs and I just got here! lol

So I was deciding where I was going to set up my bed for the night.  Right next to the bird exhibit was this hunter's room.  It was kinda cool as you walked into this vault like area.  It had a wooden floor.  I was loving the "cove" kinda feel to it.  When I walked in there I was amazed by how many skins were in this room.  They built this room from a man's house.  Pretty much moved all of the things from his house to the museum.  I can't even begin to count how many skins were in this room.  I sat there for a few minutes just looking about the room, and then I could feel the energy shift.

As if the skins didn't make me uncomfortable enough the energy shift made me extremely uncomfortable.  I knew nobody I was with would understand what I was experiencing, and I wasn't really wanting to receive any "across the veil" messages in the museum, so I made my excuses and wandered back into the bird area. :)

After exploring a little it was time to start our schedule. First stop...a welcoming show where the mission was to get the girls to scream as loud as they could.  To get rid of some of their energy? I'm assuming.  I haven't felt my ear drums rattle in a long time but I did in that show! lol  Then off to a astronomy project in the space area.  I wandered the space exhibits as my daughter played with her friends there.

The shows took up a few hours and then it was time to set up our sleeping area and get on our pajamas.  It was now 11:00.  We went back to the bird exhibit area and  I found a little computer exhibit pretty close to where my hawk was.  Wonder if my air mattress will fit in there? There was something about having a couple walls around me that was really appealing to me.  I blew up my air mattress and it fit perfectly! There was a stool in there to rest my tea upon and all my things fit nicely under the computer.  It was to be my home for the night.

The walls really helped me to feel more secure.  Something about the energy? Maybe it was purely psychological that they helped but I felt better about it! lol

I was most excited about what was next as were most of the girls.  We were off to a lightning show! The description was "indoor bolts produced by the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaff generator spark exciting explorations of lightning, electric charge, and storm safety.  I was a little concerned about lightning inside but HOW COOL! lol   We decided to be different and rather then watch it from the first floor we watched it from the third.  All the girls got close to the glass and waited to watch the show.  It was absolutely amazing!  You can see in the picture one of the demonstrations she did about how lightning energy conducts on the outside of a cage and you are safe on the inside. Both the girls and I loved every minute of the show. Lightning bolts came out of the two huge poles in the picture as well as several items on the ground.  I've never seen lightning that close up. I'm trying to do a good job explaining it but it's really something you have to see. I did take a small 11 second video though :)) Maybe this will help.  ( I love my iphone)

After that it was midnight! Time for bed!  We all made our way back to the basement with the birds and worked on getting settled in for the night.  We finally all got to sleep around 2 am.  Well that's when I drifted off finally lol.  It was cute listening to the giggles of the excited girls as they talked about all they had seen and how much fun they were having.  One by one they finally started floating off into dreamland.

At 6:15 the next morning the girls started to stir.  It was still dark in the museum except for the bathroom and emergency lights.  6:45 I was met by some very very bright lights, and the sounds of birds chirping.  We had to pack everything up and get dressed and get all our gear out to our cars before the museum opened.  An hour and a half later I finally got my coffee! lol   The museum sits on water and I must admit I was quite a bit awestruck at the view of the city in the morning on the water.  Definitely a highlight to my trip. We had our breakfast overlooking the city waking up. Was quite the cool experience.

We had two shows scheduled for the morning. The planetarium and the IMAX theatre. We saw the Explore the Universe show in the Planetarium which was just amazing.  We were taken on a tour of the Universe and taught to identify stars and planets in our system.  I was surprised to learn that the north star is actually part of the small dipper. Something I suppose I should have known! But I always thought it was the brightest star.  We also learned when looking at the night sky that to tell the difference between planets and stars that the stars will twinkle, where the planets will not.  It was a great show and my daughter and I have been putting a lot of what we learned to use while skygazing in the jaccuzzi at night.

At the Omni theatre we saw Amazing Journeys.  The movie was about the life-and-death dramas of five of the most incredible animal migrations — monarch butterflies, migratory birds, gray whales, red crabs, and zebras.  In the Mugar Omni Theater, the world's largest film format is projected onto a five-story-tall IMAX® Dome screen. It wraps audiences in larger-than-life images of flora, fauna, and faraway places. A state-of-the-art digital sound system completes the immersion effect. Just incredible. A lot of the girls were reaching out to touch the butterflies that floated by them and giggling as the crabs raced across the screen.  A great way to wake up in the morning.

That was the end of the sleepover.  A group of us decided to go downtown Boston.  So Melody and I spent the rest of the day wandering through Haymarket Square, a ginormous farmer's market, and the many shops and restaurants down there.  The farmer's market was the largest I have ever seen.  I felt like I was transported back in time as we wandered through the tent city that stretched for blocks on end with amazing prices on fresh fish, fruits, veggies and cheese.  The vendors were standing on crates in the tents yelling out their prices.  It just was so cool to see and be a part of.   It was the lighting of the Christmas tree in Boston so they had tree lighting festivities going on all around us as well. There were a lot of musicians in the street playing the most amazing celtic music.  I absolutely loved Melody watching everything all wide eyed and excited.  I honestly couldn't believe she was still standing at this point! lol

All in all we had an absolutely amazing time.  I loved the time I got to spend with Melody and the girls and Moms from her troop.  I have always had a difficult time being in large crowds and attending things like this, so the fact that I was so relaxed and had such a wonderful time talking to everyone really shows me how far I have come as an Empath on my journey.   My gift is mine and it's under control and I can now enjoy things in life without having to decline invitation because of a comfort level.  We are planning to stay overnight in the Mystic Aquarium in February and I cannot wait to go. :)))  For those of you who have little ones I always recommend the Girl Scouts.  I did 15 years with them growing up and always had the most amazing experiences.  Now I get to do it all over again with my daughter.

Love and Blessings to you all :)))
