Mabon Blessings! :))

Mabon Blessings! :))))

Merry Meet :))) Today we celebrate Mabon, or the Autumn Equinox. The Autumn equinox is the day that the hours of the day and night are equally divided. Today is one of the last days of harvest and we pay our thanks today for the wondrous blessings we have been given all summer. This Sabbat is also sometimes known as the Second Harves Festival, Wine Harvest, Feast of Avalon, and Cornucopia.

In Wicca, today we celebrate our aging Goddess as she moves from the Mother aspect to her Crone aspect. Tonight it's appropriate to wear your finest clothes and celebrate with a bountiful harvest of food. Tonight is we turn the wheel of the year and get ready to head into a period of rest, relaxation and reflection. Tonight is the perfect night to gather and dry your herbs, seeds, and seed pods. Celebrate tonight by taking a wak in the woods. Scatter some offerings for the animals and elementals of the forest on your walk. My son and I filled a cauldron with beautiful fall colored leaves, pinecones, and other little trinkets from the woods. We then added some sliced apples and cinnamon to the mix to make it smell lovely.

Tonight is a night of mysteries. In ritual tonight we honor the aging deities and the spirit world. It's also a night of balance. Stop the world for a little bit of time and enjoy what life has to offer. Enjoy the fruits of your labor throughout the year. Celebrate you and your accomplishments! :)))) When you are doing spellwork or rituals tonight, it is the perfect night to work with protection, prosperity, security, self-confidence, harmony and balance. :)))
