The Monkey as Your Totem or Spirit Animal
Merry Meet :)))) My son has been a huge fan of monkeys for as long as I can remember. When he first learned to smile, he had a monkey stuffed animal that would always make him smile. Now he has several monkey stuffies. lol :))) So what does it mean to have a monkey as your totem or spirit guide?
Have you ever seen monkeys in person? They are very playful. :))) You can't help but smile as you watch them swing, climb, make faces, and try to impress you. When you are working with a monkey as your guide, they help us to find our inner child. They teach us to play and have fun. :)))) Monkeys want us to be lighthearted and remember to find the joy in every situation that we can.
Monkeys are also very very curious. They will explore their surroundings and always look to see exactly what they have around them. They are also extremely intelligent. We've all seen the shows on what they are capable of. I have had the opportunity to see them up close many times, and I am always impressed with how smart they are. They seem like humans in so many ways. Their social skills always amaze me as well. I've had so many of them smile these huge smiles at me, and when I see that, I can't help but giggle and smile back.
In ancient Egypt, monkeys were held in the highest standard. The Egyptians thought the Gods could transform into monkeys as they were so humanlike.
When the monkey chooses to work with you look for lessons to do with communication, freedom, creativity and allowing your inner child out to play. :)))))
Love and Blessings,
