Boost Your Immune System With Herbs

Boost Your Immune System With Herbs

Merry Meet :))) There are many herbs that are quite useful to help us boost our immune system. I wanted to take a closer look at some of them with you today. First and foremost, if you aren't already taking one, I always suggest finding a multi-vitamin and taking it each day. You'd be amazed how much this can help.

American Ginsing: For centuries this herb has been used to help with health and vitality. When you take this for several months in succession it can really help prevent upper respiratory infections.

Andrographis: This herb is sometimes referred to as Indian echinacea. It can reduce cold symptoms and their duration. It also can help with upper respiratory infections. This herb helps by stimulating your immune system and can drastically minimize viral growth.

Astragalus: This herb helps to stimulates your immune system. It also helps restore energy, strengthen resistance, and promotes tissue regeneration. It can reduce your risks for cancer as well. Astragalus will help lower blood pressure. If you already have low blood pressure use small amounts until you are familiar with how you react with this herb.

Bupleurum: This herb stimulates your immune system.

Echinacea: Most of you have probably seen this product in the pharmacy to help with colds. It's very effective at both preventing and helping with the flu and colds. This herb also strengthens your immune system. You want to take echinacea at the first sign of getting sick.

Eleuthero Root (Siberian Ginsing): This herb helps your body adapt to stressors. It improves your immune system. This is a long term herb. Take it for at least three months to strengthen your immune system.

Elderberry: This dark-blue berry is helpsful in getting rid of viruses. It stops the virus from taking over healthy cells. It can also protect you from upper respiratory viral infections.

Green Tea: Drinking green tea on a regular basis will strengthen your immune system. It is a very strong antioxidant. I am super sensitive to green tea, however I can take it in capsule form, so if anyone else has issues with green tea hurting their sensitive tum, try out a capsule form from your natural health food supplier.

Hyssop: Hyssop strengthens your immune system. It is also a very strong antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial agent.

Sage: Sage tea is helpful for a sore throat. Sage is a powerful anti-oxidant. It is also a strong broad spectrum antibiotic and stimulates your immune system.

St. John's Wort: Most of you are familiar with St. John's wort as a mood enhancer or mild antidepressant. It is also helpful with fighting off colds and viruses.
