Straw Divination

Straw Divination

Merry Meet :)))))

How many of you have played games as a child and you grabbed sticks broke them up and the person with the shortest straw was stuck doing whatever everyone else didn't want to do? lol :)))) This divination method is based loosely on that.

With divination you can use almost anything as long as you set clear parameters for your inquiry and use a clearly defined question.

So for today, I'm going to teach you a quick divination method that I honestly came up with 5 minutes ago and tried it out. It works fine. :))) Did you honestly question it? lol

You can use anything you like for this, sticks, straws, toothpicks, crayons, pencils... anything really that you can get several pieces with different lengths. You can use different colors like in the picture above, but when you draw you need to make sure you either close your eyes or draw them from a bag or container.

You need at least two pieces, think yes and no answers. With three pieces you can throw in a maybe or unknown. Need a more specific answer? Add more pieces of varying lengths and define what they mean. You need to give them a little room to breathe though, in other words make sure all possibilities have a fair representation.

For instance say you were enquiring about the outcome of a situation, let's use a job prospect as an example. You just had a job interview and want to know if you will get the job. You need to have a yes in there, a no in there, and something to represent that it's unknown at this time. If you do three straws with yes phrased three different ways, while the results will be pleasing they won't be accurate. :)) I know you're all shaking your head at me right now. That's a super simple example and you wouldn't do that, I just wanted to illustrate the point. :)))

So grab your straw, crayons or whatever you are using.

Define your possibilities.

Hold them in your hand, or toss them in a bag, whatever way you can draw them without directly influencing the results. Now focus your thoughts on the question at hand. The trick with this though is to remain open to the results. If you ask about that job and want it to say yes, there's a chance you may get that just because you are silently pleading yes over and over as you ask the question. :))))

Good Luck!
