How many of you are familiar with mini-altars? Have you ever seen one? Let's first start with why you may want something like this.
Altars help us to focus our energy during ritual and when working with magick and they also provide a place for us to honor the Goddess, our deities, and the energy of the Universe. That being said it's not always practical for us to have an altar with us. Some of us live in places where we need to hide our spirituality still. Some of us have jobs that keep us away from home. You can take these with you when you are traveling. The time I like them the most is if I'm going to work out in nature.
So let's get into what we need. I alway tell you that your intention is what's most important. So you can get as formal or informal with these as you want as you feel called to do so on your path.
So let's start at the beginning the first thing you need is a mini tin. The easiest place I've found to find one is to get a tin of Altoids. These tins are the perfect size.
The next thing I love to keep in mine is a tea light. One of these led style ones is really great for safety reasons. I tend to keep a normal tea light in mine.
It's really a matter of personal preference. Decorate the altar any way you wish. You can add things to honor the Goddess or your chosen deity. Put stones in that you enjoy working with. I'll give you a bunch of examples to look at below
I love how this one has a mini athame and chalice.
Check out the tiny crystal ball on this one! Note they have representation of all the elements as well.
In this altar they actually fixed everything to the tin. It's another way to design your altar.
For this mini altar they clearly used a bigger box, but for some this may be a viable option as well
When you design these you can have one that you use all the time, you can also make different ones for special occasions. It's all up to you!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
