The Magick Of Garlic
How many of you love garlic? : It is a huge favorite of mine and use in in so many things that I eat. If it's acceptable to have it in it, I put add it. If it didn't bother my stomach I would eat garlic a lot more than I do.
In your garden you may find that you easily pass by garlic as above ground it looks a bit like grass. Under the ground though, you will find the bulb which is the part that you want to use. This herb is a gardener's delight as you can plant it all around the edges of the garden and it will help to keep unwanted guests from eating your garden like rabbits and moles. I love bunnies just as much as anyone else, but I definitely don't love it when they come to take my fresh grown lettuce out of the garden. So this is a nice friendly way to discourage them from entering the garden.
Garlic has a long history of use, and its documented history actually goes back over 7,000 years tracing back to Paleolithic caves. In ancient Egyptian tombs it was depicted as an offering to the Gods. During the plague it was used to ward off evil spirits. Today it is a very popular herb with both culinary and medicinal uses, and you will find it quite useful in your ritual work as well.
Garlic is considered masculine and is associated with fire. It is associated with the planet Mars and the sign of Aries. When you think about the history of Garlic, you will probably be able to recall many examples of it being used for protection, therefore it's not surprising that one of the main metaphysical properties of this herb is protection. Did you know it can also attract good luck and positive energy? It's time to make those garlic wreaths and hang them around your house.
It has a myriad of health benefits as well from helping to control blood pressure and blood sugar level to helping to eliminate bacteria and ward off colds. This is definitely an herb that will be helpful in your life so find ways to incorporate it where you can.
Have a magickal day!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
