How many of you are super busy? How many of you have time to take care of you? How many of you are saying "I don't have time to do that" as you are reading this. If you are, you especially need to read this.
As highly sensitives and especially those of you who are strong empaths, we tend to take care of everyone around us. Part of the reason for that is that we can feel the energy and emotions of those around us, another part is a constant desire to "heal the world."
As I was working earlier today, I was really thirsty. I caught myself on several occasions saying it's ok, I'll go get something to drink in a minute, after this.... fast forward 2 hours, ...when I'm done with this.... it's now 4:40. Was I busy today? Yes. Was I too busy to go grab a bottle of water? I managed to get several drinks for my children, why did I not take the time to get one for myself?
How many of you have done something similar?
Some days I'm very good at listening to my body, the more busy my schedule, and the more things on my mind, the worse I do. Wanna hear something funny though? Several times today I caught myself staring at the screen my mind adrift. Why? Probably because I'm thirsty! LOL
So had I answered that call, throughout the day, I actually would've not lost the time staring into space or at a blank screen as my focus would've been better. So I actually lost time by not taking the 30 seconds to take care of myself with that bottle of water. I have one now by the way. :P
Part of your path is learning to take care of you. We need to learn to know ourselves better than anyone, and know exactly what our body wants us to know at all times. For instance I know if I'm getting cranky, it's most likely because I need to simply step away for a bit. Even a 2 minute walk across the grass barefoot is enough to ground me and get me back on task. I'm not afraid to take time out for me now, as I know it always comes back around somehow. I have lost track of how many times I will go out for a walk in the woods and come back to new subscribers for Moonsong Daily Magick. It always makes me laugh.
So the point to these stories is to stop. Take time for you. Love you, and listen to you. It will all work out I promise, and by taking care of you, you will always be in the best shape to handle what is coming your way, as you will be able to access your true self.
