The Emotional Playground for Empaths
Merry Meet :)))))) Many of you know that one of my huge passions in life is working with empaths. :)))) I am blessed to work with so many of you and I couldn't imagine my life without all of you. :)))) I also know that I have a lot of you that are new :))) So I wanted to make sure that you had the resources that you need. :)))

In the past I have gone into grounding and shielding, two skills that are critical for empaths. The next step is learning to recognize your own emotions. I know, it sounds like the most simple thing in the world, but you would be amazed how many emotions you can carry as an empath that aren’t even yours. It really is like an emotional playground out there. If you’re not careful you can wind up with a myriad of emotions that have nothing to do with you.
So let’s start sorting it out. What’s mine? What’s yours? When you feel intense emotions, we need to start sorting them out. If you woke up in a good mood, drove to work, and when you got out of your car in the parking lot you felt angry, is it you? Or could it be you drove past thirty cars on the way there, with people stuck at lights, and late to work and were experiencing mild cases of road rage. Take a deep breath. Think about why it is you feel angry right at that moment. If you cannot come up with a reason, chances are, it’s not yours. So give it back! Release the negative emotion back into the universe. Take a huge deep breath and say, “This is not my emotion, I release it.” Take another one and say, “I am happy and calm.” It can also be helpful to have a one word chant. I use the word “calm.” I will repeat it quietly to myself until I feel back to normal. If you have time to ground, by all means, ground. That is the best method to release the energy that you have picked up. However, many times, just realizing that it’s not yours, and allowing it to go away will do the trick.
Once you start getting in tune with your own emotions, you will be surprised at how many things can and will affect you if you let them. Just being aware of this can begin to make a huge difference in your like immediately. Use the simple breathing exercise above as often as you need to. With time, regular grounding, shielding and just plain old being aware your life will start to change for the better immediately.

Full Cold Moon
Merry Meet :))))) Full Moon Blessings! :))))) I bet you know how tonight's Moon got it's name ;) Here in New England this is definitely the coldest month of the year for us. It was a whole 1 degree yesterday and I believe we are around 11 today. I'm snug as a bug inside with the fireplace going looking at the pretty snow outside my window. That's not to say that all days are freezing where I am. :)) We get some warmer ones that get into the 40's and sometimes 50's during this time as well. :))
One of my favorite things about this time of year though is the snow, especially the snow on the night of a Full Moon. I honestly believe it is the prettiest Full Moon of the year. My fingers are crossed that it will be warm enough this year to go out and see it. It can get amazingly bright out on the night of a Full Moon and the colors are just amazing. :)) It's part of why I selected the picture above as it's really close to the views that I will have here on the night of the Full Moon. The Moon won't be quite as bit, but sometimes when it rises it can look absolutely huge in the sky. :)))
Tonight is also known as the Full Wolf Moon and honestly many of you who have been with me for quite some time are likely more use to me referring to January's Full Moon as the Full Wolf Moon. Native American's gave it that name for the wolves use to start howling outside the camps this time of year as food was beginning to get scarce for them. The white wolf is still one of my main spirit animal guides and I will do something to thank him tonight as well for all the times he has walked next to me on my path.
Tonight's Moon is in Cancer. Why, you might ask is it in Cancer when above I told you that she would be in Libra this evening. The Moon is full this morning at 6:34 EST and during that time she is in Cancer so that is where this Full Moon's energy is coming from and why we identify her as being with Cancer. :)))
2017 is going to hold some challenges for you going forward. I told you it would be a year of hard work, challenges and rewards. So tonight we are doing some important work to set the stage for that. :))) Grounding work. What you want to focus on tonight is your home and immediate relationships within your home. You want to make sure that the environment that you spend the most time in is optimal for you to nourish yourself and grow spiritually this year. Don't forget to book your Full Cold Moon Reading it will help you to understand where you currently are and what you need to do right now on your path. :)))
You also want to pay particular attention to what makes you feel safe and secure. When you are safe and secure you will find that you are able to rest completely, cleanse and ground enabling you to walk your path balanced which is really what you want. In doing so you will make better decisions and you will find that your confidence is increasing as well. This is some pretty important framework that you want to do for this year. :)))
So tonight look around you and make a list of what you can do to make your home be that personal oasis for you. What can you work on to improve it in the next couple of weeks that will help you to feel more settled. I know in my home we are on a bit of a cleaning spree removing all the Christmas decor and bringing in the Spring decorations as they lift our spirit this time of year. I purchased a small aroma diffuser this year as well which is wonderful :))) I can use essential oils in it and it brings their scent through my home, something that I am enjoying. :)) We are also working on repainting the walls in our home. :))) We just redid my son's room this past weekend and it's amazing the difference a coat of paint can make. :))))
So look for things that will lift your spirits and make you just feel happy to be home. Don't forget your relationships at home as well, that's a really important aspect of this. Plan some things that you can work on over the next couple of weeks. Raise your wish list up to the Goddess this evening and ask her to help you to create an environment that the energy will be in your best interest. Tonight would be a great night to charge a rose quartz crystal as well to carry with you. :))))

Merry Meet :))))))
How many of you are empaths? :)))) Huge Hugs, I know the majority of you are. Many of you know that I love Doreen Virtue as her work often speaks to me. Many of you also know that my guides love to "assign" reading to me. I saw the initial launch campaigns for this book a couple years ago and it caught my attention. I put it on my wish list and thought I'd probably grab a copy in the future.
Over the next several days this book was put in front of me at least once a day. I actually received five notices about this book in the same evening and I realized that my guides were definitely sending me a strong message. I was to read this book.
As soon as I started reading it I understood completely why. It was very relevant to what was currently going on in my life, and I felt as if my guides were having a one on one coaching session with me.
For those of you that don't know, Doreen Virtue calls Empaths Earth Angels. :))))) So now why is this book so important? It helps us to understand who we are and why we do what we do. I found myself identifying with numerous traits in this book. One of them is apologizing for absolutely everything. lol :)))) I didn't realize how often I'm sorry was in my vocabulary until I read this book. The other thing it addresses is our tendency to always put others before ourselves. I can't tell you how many nights I've been up half the night trying to help people in their lives or writing articles trying to help.
Part of why I love Doreen's work is her gentle nature. She is a very easy read, I actually almost finished this book in one sitting. She will help you to take an honest look at your life and see where you may fall into patterns of actually being "too nice," and how to handle these situations and make sure you are taking care of you at the same time. I always struggle when trying to recommend books for you to read as I always have an issue with the ones that are out there, they are either too harsh, not on point the way I think they should be, or they really don't address things that I want them to for you. Not to mention there aren't many out there to begin with. :)))) For those of you that don't know I'm still working on mine. Assertiveness for Earth Angels I would put as a "must read" if you are an empath. It's worth every penny in my opinion.
