Card 1 - King of Swords

This king sits with his preferred tools (or weapons, depending on your point of view), an incredibly bright sword and a magnificent hawk. These indicate his sharp intellect that
always goes directly to the heart of any matter.

This king leads by intellectual ideals. He does not seek to inspire passion or have his people love him. He uses intelligence, objectivity, and analysis to decide what is right,
fair, and just. These are the ideals he upholds for himself and for those around him. He leads by example. His standards are very high; he expects a lot of those around him. He has no patience for anyone who doesn’t do their best or who doesn’t share the same ideals. He can lack compassion for what he may perceive as weakness and is intolerant of uncontrolled emotional outbursts.

Kings are about Directed and formed power, and the logical use of intuition. They represent the activating, dynamic energy of life. Kings are known for having a logical view of life. Swords relate to the element Air and the realm of the mind. Swords are all about communication.

Card 2 - Three of Pentacles

A woman works on a painting under an ornate arch topped by three pentacles. Two women stand nearby watching and admiring her work.

This card is a sign that all is going well. If you have started a new business, embarked on a new project, or begun a health or fitness routine, you are seeing the signs of progress and even of prosperity. You’ve paid attention and done the best that you can. You are getting attention and probably reimbursement for your work. Not only is the external recognition satisfying, but you are also finding much personal fulfillment in your endeavors.

Card 3 - The Chariot

A woman holding aloft a glowing wand, rides through a dark foggy landscape that may or may not be treacherously dangerous. Pulling her and her chariot are two strong horses, representing great energy and power that she must control. They don’t appear to be well trained, as they are not looking straight ahead but in different directions, as if distracted by the ravens and shadowy shapes in the mist. The chariot driver is using all her focus and will to keep the chariot on track.

This card is about victory through mastery. In this situation, there are opposing and conflicting forces, perhaps very powerful ones, that must be made to work in harmony to achieve a common goal. These conflicting energies may be within yourself or external. Either way, it is up to you to harness that energy and guide it to success.

The Chariot is about struggle, but achieving that hard earned victory. With confidence, control and motivation victory will come.
