Full Flower Moon Blessings!

Merry Meet. Full Flower Moon Blessings!

How many of you have noticed the world around you turning an amazing emerald green and watched the various colors going by as all the trees and flowers enhance our world with vivid colors that show us how the Earth is blooming and growing. This is a really important time of the year as we are waking up and blossoming with the Earth around us so be sure to pay particular attention to what's going on in your life right now. You will be sure to find many signs surrounding that give you clues as to where you are meant to be.

If you have a garden or are thinking about having a garden it's time to start planting! We are going to be getting all the seedlings into the gardens over the next several days. I'm so excited to see all the gardens packed with growth again. We already have several herbs that are here and going incredibly strong. The chives, lemon balm, mint and chamomile are huge already! The chamomile really surprised me this year! I wasn't expecting it? It's just outside my herb garden which is interesting to me. It's a huge beautiful patch of it that is already flowering.

Tonight our Full Moon is in Sagittarius and if you work with tonight's Moon you should find yourself getting a nice boost of confidence. It's the perfect night to dream about what you want in the future and take your dreams to the Goddess so she can help instill you with the confidence and determination that you need to make your dreams come true. We want to work with fiery colors tonight like Red, Orange and Yellow to help us bring more of that confident energy to us. For most of us, confidence is something that we definitely need to work on so make sure you draw down some of tonight's Full Moon energy to help you with that. You can also charge a gemstone like Citrine tonight, just envision yourself drawing confident energy from the Moon and infusing your stone with it. Then you can carry it with you to help you gain confidence on your path.
Full Flower Moon Ritual

Find a clear quiet place this evening where you can see the moon. You can bring a blanket if you like. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough. If things go the way I'm hoping I will be at the ocean tonight and I will add some ocean energy to the mix for you.

As always ground and center before doing this.

Look up at the moon and notice her energy glowing. Can you feel her power? Try to focus on the energy surrounding her and use your intent to bring it towards you. Tonight I am going to have you do something simple but very powerful working with your chakras. If you don't know what chakras are they are energy centers in your body. I have a quick explanation and a video for tuning them that would be helpful to use before tonight's energy work. You can find that here:

Chakra Tuning

You want to start with your crown chakra. Whenever you do energy work with your chakras it is best to start at the top and work your way down. This brings in the sacred energy of the Divine first and as you work through each of the chakras you will draw that energy deeper into your body. Work on pulling the energy down through your crown chakra. Envision this beautiful white light from the Divine coming in to cleanse you of anything that isn't for your greater good and charge you with new energy. Often when you do this you will start to feel a tingling. This is normal.

When you can feel the energy of your crown chakra, move down to your third eye chakra. Draw the energy of the moon down through it. Notice it spinning and dancing with the light of the moon. Your third eye chakra corresponds to the color purple and helps you with your intuition and your psychic gifts.

Then move to your throat chakra. Pull the energy down and allow it to cleanse your throat chakra and recharge it allowing it to spin freely. Your throat chakra corresponds to the color blue. This chakra helps us to express ourselves and communicate with others. It can also help you with creativity and healing.

From there we are going to move down to your heart chakra. Draw the energy down into your heart and allow it to warm you. While we are there try to breathe through your heart chakra. Spend a few moment really working on opening that chakra and drawing your breath through it. Your heart chakra is green and is responsible for love, hope and compassion. As empaths I often find that this is the one that needs the most cleansing and healing.

When you are comfy move on down to your solar plexus. Draw the energy of the moon through all your chakras and down into your solar plexus. Allow the energy of the moon to free that chakra to spin. Notice any connections you may feel to that chakra. The solar plexus is a very common chakra for us to form connections or psychic cords with our loved ones. It corresponds to the color yellow and is largely responsible for our energy.

Then move down to your sacral chakra. Allow the loving light of the moon to envelope this chakra and remove any negative energy. Your Sacral Chakra is orange and helps us with our emotions and intimacy.

Our final destination is your root chakra. Really take a few moments with this one and make sure that your root chakra is clear of any negative energy and spinning with the love and light of the moon. This is another one that I often find is off. This chakra is vital for grounding, it's your roots. :))) If this one is out of sorts at all it can affect the whole line.

When you are done draw that energy all the way down into the ground, forming a tube of energy that comes from the moon, straight down through you and into the ground.

Ask the Goddess to bless you on this night with her love and light. Make sure to give thanks afterwards. Enjoy!

Please note, if you are doing this it is very normal to get tingling sensations. You may even feel a bit lightheaded after. Be sure to ground afterward and maybe have a bite to eat.

Have an amazingly magickal night!
Much Love and Many Blessings,

The Littlest Mushroom That Could

Isn't it cute? Can you see the perfect tiny mushroom? Earl showed it to me first thing this morning and I immediately thought of all of you. It reminds me of the fae. :))) This little mushroom is growing on a baby tomato plant. We have so many this year! I'm so excited. We have a little greenhouse with seedlings this year.

I love it already. We just got in April on sale for $15.00.  It's been the perfect way to start our seedlings for the garden. You can see how well they are doing in the picture. They are huge! A lot of them will be going outside into the garden by the end of this week.   During the wintertime I'm going to use it to have an indoor herb garden. With any luck this will be my last year missing my herbs during the cold months.

The white bar that you see hanging in front of it is an LED light that we found in a shop for just $5.00. It helps to give the greenhouse extra light when it needs it.

This is a great way to have a mini indoor garden. You can save so much money by starting with your own seedling. My little ones are having an amazing time coming out to see the plants every morning as well, especially the corn as it's growing so fast.
Have a magickal day!

Cooper's Hawk

This morning I was working on a tarot reading when I noticed a bird sitting in the tree across from my house. I got excited thinking it was the red-tailed hawk who often sits there or on the wire but I thought she looked quite a bit smaller today!

I called Earl to try to zoom in on her with his camera so we could get a better look thinking perhaps it was a Falcon or something and we figured out that this beautiful bird across the street was a Cooper's Hawk. It's the first time that I've seen or noticed one in this area. The thing that really helped us to identify her were the distinct stripes on her tail.

The Cooper's Hawk is a medium sized hawk native to North America. This hawk is named after William Cooper one of the founders of the New York Lyceum of Natural History. They live for 12 years on average in the wild.

I'm hoping that this is a bird that I will get to see more often where I am. I love hawks and this was most definitely a welcome sight this morning.

I hope you all have a magickal day!

The Importance of Your Personal Perception of Self

Merry Meet.  Many of you know how much I love to read.  When I found out a friend of mine had released a personal memoir I jumped at the chance to give it a read.  It was a book that I found I didn't want to put down as I constantly was wanting to know what happened next.  Most important though was this book made me think... for days... I still find myself thinking about things as it really made me look at life different.  Every once in awhile I feel compelled to write a review of a book and this was definitely one of those times.  This was my review:

"Maybe everything that I've been telling myself for as long as I can remember is an illusion, a fabrication of other's expectations and opinions. - Spencer Newell"

"One of the most powerful and thought provoking books I've read in awhile. Spencer really bares it all in this book and gives you the raw look of exactly what he went through in his life and the amazing climb he took to get to where he's standing today. I appreciated the honesty that he had throughout the entire book and found it almost impossible to put down wanting to constantly know where he was next. I appreciate the fact that he was willing to really share his life and I think his story will help a lot of people to understand addiction and gain a new perspective on life. The quote above I found the most profound theme throughout the book as I watched his life unfold.

I was lucky enough to know Spencer in school. He was an amazing person with a heart of pure gold. The few times I was able to spend with him I appreciated his friendly attitude and openness. He was someone that was never judgmental and always willing to share a laugh. His friendly smile is honestly something I remember the most. I found his perspective of being the underdog in high school baffling as I read it as I was two years ahead of him in school. The perspective that I knew others had of him was not of him being the underdog but that of envy that two very well known people in the school that were one year and two years ahead of him in class respectively, always wanted him with him. That spoke volumes to a lot of people about what an amazing person he was. Spencer is an amazing person and I'm so happy he decided to share his life journey.

He will take you on a journey, a journey where you get to really see into his world and what he went through. It's a journey that will involve you right from the first paragraph and hold you all the way through until the end of the book. It's one where you will likely want to know more about where he is now. I definitely encourage you to read his book. Spencer will definitely not disappoint you."

I finished his book a couple of days ago and while it can be a tough read if addiction has touched your life in any way I found it to be an incredible read because of how much he shared, his thought process and what led him to make the decisions in his life that he did. It has left me thinking for the last couple of days about how my perception of what people think of me has influenced my life. I found that it definitely had some profound influences on my life. If you think about it how has it influenced yours? I know personally it's something that I will be more aware of as I move forward on my life path.

I hope you have an amazing day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

Connecting With Mother Nature

Connecting with Mother Nature How many of you have noticed when you are able to spend a day outside you are more relaxed? While technology is amazing and I'm very connected to it, how many of you have noticed that on the days you disconnect from technology you are more relaxed.

What would happen if you could take a day, a weekend, a week or longer and just disconnect from all electronics and maximize your time outside enjoying nature? Can you imagine?

The more you connect with nature, the more grounded and centered you will feel and the easier you will find it is to manage life. Things like taking long walks outside, having time to sit an appreciate a pretty garden, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and any other activity you can think of that is outside will help you to really revitalize and recharge your soul, especially if you are an empath.

How many of you go out and spend time with the Moon or the stars at night? Here in New England we are unable to do that all year because of the weather but it's something I love in the Summertime. We will have a fire and watch for shooting stars outside.

When thunderstorms roll in we try to find someplace safe where we can watch the lightning. We are actually thinking about trying to build a storm porch as we are calling it on one of our sheds this year. Think of it like a mini covered porch. This way we have a safe place to watch the storms and the rain in the summertime come in over the mountain.

Look for different ways that you can connect with nature. Make sure you spend time doing these things. You especially want to make time if you spend a lot of time on technology. I work online and I happen to love games as well so I really have to make sure I balance those activities with outdoor time to maximize my personal energy. Look for ways that you can help balance your energy as well by increasing your relationship with Mother Nature.

Have a magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Weather Divination

Art by Kida Ookami

How many of you can smell the rain coming?

How many of you have a headache hours before that storm comes?

How many of you can look at the night sky and know what kind of weather it's going to be based on the colors.

How many of you think everyone can do this?

I'm always met with a myriad of strange gazes when I make comments about the weather. I'm sure they must wonder why I look back at them completely confused as to how in the world they can't smell that? To me an incoming rain storm is the most obvious smell. I can pick it up a fair amount ahead of time, long enough to run to the car or get inside.

Ok so this isn't completely related to being a gifted intuitive, or is it.....

A long time ago I started googling scientific explanations for this. I found a lot of explanation like dust particles, atmospheric pressure etc. I'm not going to go completely scientific on you as I'm no scientist. I have a wonderful friend though that will probably laugh at me as he watches me stumble through this. What I do know though is what I read over and over again in a "lot" of these scientific articles. "Those who are sensitive will notice." Ha. Imagine that. No, not everyone has to lay down when a storm approaches because the pressure of the atmosphere is changing to quickly. Guess what, they can't smell the rain coming either. There's a very good change that those who understand what you're talking about are sensitive too, if you happen to find people.  Being sensitive to these changes is absolutely one form of weather divination.

There are many other observations, some which you may be familiar with. Let's take a quick peek.

Groundhog day.  If a groundhog sees his shadow or not tells us how much longer till Spring.

It is said that on Imbolc if the weather is beautiful, winter will be longer as Cailleach made it a nice day to collect firewood. If it's raining, she's asleep and Spring is near.

Whenever we were out for rides when I was little and the cows were laying down my Mom would tell me that rain would be coming.

When I see the leaves flip up on our trees I know a storm is coming.

Depending on where you are from and your family's heritage and traditions I'm sure you probably have lots of other ones.

I would reserve a page in your Book of Shadows for Weather Divination. Use that page to record any tricks that you have. When you know weather changes are coming start tracking how you feel and if you notice anything different, smells, headaches etc.   You may be surprised how well you do!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

The Magickal Color Black

The Magickal Color Black

How many of you have noticed that where there's magickal references you will often see black as well? Black is an incredibly powerful color that many people associate with mystery and magick. It can be a great help to you if you understand how to work with it's energy.

How many of you know that White is the color that encompasses all colors? If you know that, then it would make sense that black is the absence of light and the absence of color. It's energy is said to absorb anything within it's reach which is part of what makes this color so powerful for assisting with energy when you understand how to use it.

You can use the color black to help you absorb energy that isn't in your best interest. This is part of why you will find that many stones that are black are amazing to help with grounding and absorbing energy that isn't helping you. I always recommend stones like Onyx and Obsidian to help people who wish to feel more grounded and protected on their path. Black is also absolutely amazing for protective energy. For those of you who work with shielding techniques try visualizing a black cloak for yourself when you need added protection.

I mentioned before that black draws energy. When you are working with spells black can help draw the energy that you wish to you. It can also be used to banish negativity.

As with any color, you will find that colors can have different meanings to different people depending on what they have been taught and their personal practice. Often your interpretation of the color is what will give it the energy you wish it to have during your ritual work.

Have a magickal day!

I Don't Often Share Posts....

I Don't Often Share Posts...

I know one of you will recognize this post. A fellow Moonsong Daily Magick member shared this post last week and it just stopped me in my tracks. It was what I needed to hear on that day and I thought that it may be as important for all of you to hear as well. The day I published it to Daily Magick I had so many members write in telling me how much it meant to them so I wanted to share it with all of you today.

You may want to consider printing it out or writing it down as I think this is a really valuable post and something that we need to remind ourselves each and every day.

Thank you to Liz for sharing this and making my day a little bit better and hopefully all of yours.

I hope you have a magickal day!

"With flowers in a ring upon her hair,
tonight she will dance without a care.

The energy of abundance and fertility she will raise
with a confidence worthy of being on stage.

Tonight the fires will burn bright
so make your wishes on this night

As we begin this beautiful month of May,
It's time to celebrate Beltane today.

Beltane Blessings!

Beltane Blessings!

Who's ready to dance and sing around the fire tonight? I absolutely adore Beltane and all the fiery passionate energy that it brings with it. Mainly the fact that I know that the warm weather is finally here and everything is turning that beautiful emerald green! Here where I live in New England it's been an incredibly strange Spring so far. It's as if the chill of winter doesn't want to leave. I heard that it's suppose to jump into the 80's for the remainder of the week though which would be incredible. From my winter coat to shorts..... that's New England! This is a time of energy, fertility and abundance. I'm looking forward to the return of all the beautiful plants and greenery on the trees in my area. The lawns are finally getting back that beautiful emerald green color and the willow in the back is finally moving from yellow to green.

Beltane is one of the eight Sabbats that we celebrate. This holiday has some of the traditions from the Gaelic Bealtaine traditions with lighting bonfires. It also has a bit of resemblance to the German May Day celebrations for our May Pole traditions. On Beltane we celebrate the beginning of summer, fertility, passion, and ritual with bonfires and May Pole dancing. It's a day to honor life and shake off the sleepiness of winter. The name Beltane translates to "bright fire", the "bale-fire". On the evening of Beltane the Celts would build a fire from nine sacred woods: birch, oak, rowan, willow, hawthorn, hazel, apple, grapevine and fir.

"Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Birch wood in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows.
Oak in the forest, towers with might in the fire it brings the God's insight.
Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower.
Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland.
Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye.
Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning-adds its strength to the bright fire burning.
White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility.
Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine.
Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen.
But - Elder is the Lady's tree burn it not or cursed you'll be."

- From the Wiccan Rede

This is a time where the veils between the worlds are thinnest. For those of us whom are sensitive, you've probably noticed the shifting in energy and activity as the veils thin. In ancient times, on the night before Beltane they would put Rowan Branches on the windows and doors for protection during this time from any unwanted spirits that may come through the veil.

It is said that it is the night that the fairies return to us. Legend has it that the Queen of the Fae rides back on the night before Beltane on her white horse and tries to attract people back to Faeryland with her. It is said that if you sit beneath a tree on Beltane Eve, you may catch a glimpse of her or hear her bells.

On the night before Beltane the young people in the town would go out at midnight to gather flowers. They would come back from this all night event dressed in flowers, leaving flowers on doorsteps and blessing the crops in exchange for food. It's a bit similar to trick-or-treating on Samhain. Because of the passion associated on this night it was not uncommon for many a young maiden to come back pregnant after this evening.

Perhaps one of the most well known Beltane customs is that of the Maypole. The Maypole use to be made of the communal pine tree where all the branches were trimmed off and then moved to a tree that was driven into the ground. The tree represents the world center and Tree of life and also is a phallic symbol. Red and white ribbons were attached to the top of the pole. The White Ribbons represented the Goddess and the Red Ribbons represented the God. Traditionally there would be 8 dancers, one for each Sabbat, paired into couples. The men held the red ribbons and the women the white ribbons. They then would weave together a representation of the birth canal by moving in circles around the pole, weaving under each other's interlocked upheld arms in mock sexual union. Beltane circles were once constructed with the Maypole at the center and a balefire at a distance at one or all four cardinal points. Because of the sexual connotations, Parliament made Maypoles illegal in Europe in 1644 but they came back with the Restoration and a 134 foot maypole was erected in the Strand in London.

Have an amazingly Blessed Beltane!

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong
