One of my favorite things to do in school when I was young around Halloween was to draw pictures of Haunted Houses. There were just so many things that you could do with them to create a spooky scene.

One thing I thought was interesting is the way everyone sees Haunted Houses. For instance, when Earl first moved from California to Massachusetts, he commented on how many brick buildings we have out here. He said that back in California their Haunted Houses were often depicted as brick houses. Out here in new England they tend to look like the house above. Perhaps it's because I'm in New England and we have tons of old houses out here.

This weekend flip through some pictures of Haunted Houses and maybe grab some markers or colored pencils and spend some time drawing your own haunted house. Let that spooky creative energy out!

He Came Out Of the Mist......

He came out of the mist....

How many of you have encountered spirits in your life? Have you ever seen a full body apparition? I bet most of you may not know that I have a good amount of experience with the Paranormal world as well. I've been working with spirits since I was little.

I saw my first full body complete apparition several years ago now when I was going through a particularly challenging time in my life. I was outside wishing on the stars and all of a sudden there was a ton of fog coming from the house next door. I assumed it was the dryer vent from next door as it was chilly out and went back to wishing. Then it increased.... and started coming across my yard. I felt rooted in place and this incredibly peaceful feeling came over me which is the best way I could describe it as I watched that fog turn into a pretty clear full body spirit. It was my Grandfather. I recognized the uniform from the military picture. I believe he chose it as he knew I would recognize it. While I couldn't make out his face clearly, the center of his body was the most clear, I knew without a doubt it was him. After what feels like forever but I'm sure was a matter of moments it began to fade. That was the first time I have seen a full spirit since I was incredibly little.

I have been seeing spirits my entire life but typically I catch them out of the corner of my eye, I will catch a flash of them, I even have caught some photos although I find photos are tricky as typically their energy either kills what I am using as a camera or the photo is all distorted.

That Familiar Soul - The Soul of an Empath and a Visit From a Ghost

Merry Meet :))) One thing I love about working with empaths is that our energy is incredibly easy to sense. I can pick out empaths incredibly quickly. While I find that empaths often feel lonely as they aren't often positioned with many others around them, what's nice is that if you pay attention to energy you can learn to recognize other empaths pretty quickly and I find most empaths do. :))

I've been getting allergy shots for a year now and one of the ladies who I go to all the time I knew was an empath from the moment I started working with her. However, it's not something I usually just bring up? "Hi! You're an empath how's life in the intuitive lane?" Not everyone knows that they are an empath, not everyone wants to be an empath, it's really a very fine line I walk when I discover another empath on my path.

I've known she was for awhile and honestly I was pretty confident that she knew I was as well. We had been bringing more familiar topics into the conversation each time, gem stones, moon phases, herbs etc. I was pretty confident that my initial impression was correct that not only was she an empath, but she was Wiccan and embraced her path.

We had an incident today where as soon as I sat down at her desk the radio started losing the station and going to static. Not uncommon for me when my energy is high. I get a little anxious before shots! I made a joke about energy and she laughed and then went to change the channel. Absolutely no channel was coming in at all so she just shut it off completely. She came back over and sat down and then the radio just turned back on. She went over, verified it was off and it happened again. All static and then it shut itself off. She called in one of the other ladies from the office who had been having paranormal experiences at her home and joked around about her bringing her ghost to work. By this time it was out. I told her that I was a psychic and we chatted and laughed about the presence in the room. I felt something was off as soon as I walked in but dismissed it figuring it was just me being nervous.

The funniest part was when I told her that I didn't sense anything any more and it was all clear. Before I could finish my sentence the radio came back on normal just as it had been when I walked in the room before I sat down. :))) I love what I do and I will never tire of things like this! :))

When you get to interact with another empath, pay attention to their energy. You will begin being able to tell with time. It's a bit like a flame that other moths are attracted to. The energy of an empath is warm, very kind and very inviting at it's core. There may be energetic walls or other things you need to be able to sense it through but that energy is there.

Paranormal Activity

With Samhain quickly approaching we've been talking a lot about energy work over the past few weeks. It's one of my passions as part of my witchy path has been to work on mastering it and every time I learn something new I just love it.

Most of you working with me are either empaths and have intuitive gifts so you will find that you are adept at working with energy. So I have a kind of neat exercise for you to work with that goes along pretty well with our countdown.

How many of you love ghost hunting shows like Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, I'm quite sure there's more out there I'm just not sure all of the names.  You don't have to agree with everything going on in them just the ghost hunting portion of it. For as long as I can remember I have been involved in psychic/paranormal energy work. The stories I could tell you!  However one of my favorite activities is sensing the energy of a place. Did you know that you can do it via distance as well? I can watch an episode of Ghost Hunters and I would say sense things with about 90% accuracy. Sometimes I just get nothing lol It happens. I use to write down my initial feelings of things and then compare them against their findings. Something for you to try out.

I've also done some work with this involving Unsolved Mysteries. I was actually interested in working with the police for awhile but I'm not sure if I can handle the energy? I had issues with it when I was younger but it definitely interests me. Something else for you to look at if you are feeling adventurous and wanting to experiment with psychic gifts.

Just make sure that you realize that the veil is thinner right now so your gifts will be heightened. Do it for short periods of time, no more than a half hour. Don't go doing any marathons Make sure you ground and center when you are done always. You don't want to carry any residual energy to give you funky dreams at night. Have fun with it!

I always love watching ghost stories around Halloween. Well all year really, it's one of my passions.
