Who's Coming To Visit You With the Thinning Veil


As the Veil thins it's easier for those on the other side to communicate with us. It's easier for them to find the energy to appear for us. It's easier to pass messages back and forth.

Who's coming to visit though?

You are going to find that people that you have lost in this life may come to visit but you may find that spirits from past lives may come to be near you now as well. You may also find that ancestors that you've met and some that you've never met will come to check on you. There seems to be a pretty significant uptick in spirit communication overall.

Think about those people in your life that may come to visit you. If you wish to receive messages from them do things to celebrate their memory. For instance if you would welcome signs from your ancestors work on the ancestry in your family. Look through old photos, ask relatives for stories. In doing this you keep their energy alive and you can make it easier for them to come and visit you.

I do want to emphasize that just because you haven't noticed any signs or communication doesn't mean someone hasn't stopped by to see you. It's not always easy for those on the other side to communicate. I honestly find that the older souls and those who have traveled many lifetimes have an easier time. Please don't take it as a sign that they aren't alright if you haven't heard something. I also want to note for those of you who have recently lost loved ones that there seems to be a gap in time for communication. For instance when I lost my Grandparents with both of them I saw immediate signs in the week after they passed, then they slowly stopped and I didn't see anything for awhile. With time I started seeing signs again. It seems to vary at that point on the person and the age of their soul.

Three Souls


Along my path I have been blessed to have many teachers, and one of my favorites is Christopher Penczak. A couple of years ago he did a workshop called , the Mighty Dead that I was able to attend. As with all the classes and workshops I've taken with him, this one was amazing as well. He's currently touring with it now in some areas so if you get the chance to go take the workshop with him I definitely recommend it.

He introduced a theory to me that helped me to understand types of spirits or entities that I can feel. I wanted to pass it along to you. You can adopt this theory if you like, or use another one. I liked the way that it helped explain what I sense.

Christopher said that we all have three souls. You can call these souls anything you like as they will have many names, for the purpose of this article I am going to refer to them as your higher self, your mundane self, and your shadow self.

When we are here on Earth, we have three souls, but they are joined as one to go into making up who we are in this life. Our higher self, is our true self. This is the soul that will go back to the other side, or the Summerlands once we pass away.

Our mundane self will actually remain here on Earth, typically at the site we are buried, or the ashes are scattered, etc, until it breaks down completely and becomes one with the Earth again.

Our shadow self goes directly back to the Earth.

This is a quick interpretation of it.

I must admit it is a little bit disturbing to think of myself being split in three! That being said though it helps explain a lot.

Many of you know I can hear my guides very clearly and I can sense other entities as well.

When I hear my guides, the angels, my Grandfather who works as my guide, and when I have spirits come through with messages for you, they are almost always behind me and to my right. They have a beautiful energy that is just pure and loving and I am always calm when they are here. I am most familiar with these types of souls, as I work with them most frequently. When you interact with them you will get the most evolved answers, this has been my experience.

I have also experienced entities who I felt as if they were still on this plane, ie roaming the Earth. For those of you who have been with me awhile you will remember the story of the soul attached to the airplanes that I brought home from a tag sale. I wasn't terrified of his energy, but it wasn't comfortable either. These types of presences always leave me with a wary feeling. I can get messages from them, however I really prefer to deal with the first type. You can still interact with these entities, but you will get more informational, to the point messages, and they may be biased with emotions left over from their life experiences.

Then we go on to the third type. This is the type that is usually unresponsive and I always find myself cleansing right after I encounter one. I haven't known what they were and haven't wanted to refer to them as demons as they don't feel that way to me. They just aren't presences that I want to work with at all. After his seminar I now believe these to be the Shadow self. I didn't attempt to interact with them.

What I find really cool about this explanation is I often find myself telling people that their loved ones are different when they cross. Those issues that they had to overcome in this life are typically gone and they are loving souls who don't have emotions such as greed and jealousy, or any type of illnesses. This would make sense if they leave that soul behind.

It's an interesting theory and one that I am going to research more. However, as I said, energy wise the descriptions feel right to me. So I wanted to put it out there for all of you.

Paranormal Activity

With Samhain quickly approaching we've been talking a lot about energy work over the past few weeks. It's one of my passions as part of my witchy path has been to work on mastering it and every time I learn something new I just love it.

Most of you working with me are either empaths and have intuitive gifts so you will find that you are adept at working with energy. So I have a kind of neat exercise for you to work with that goes along pretty well with our countdown.

How many of you love ghost hunting shows like Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, I'm quite sure there's more out there I'm just not sure all of the names.  You don't have to agree with everything going on in them just the ghost hunting portion of it. For as long as I can remember I have been involved in psychic/paranormal energy work. The stories I could tell you!  However one of my favorite activities is sensing the energy of a place. Did you know that you can do it via distance as well? I can watch an episode of Ghost Hunters and I would say sense things with about 90% accuracy. Sometimes I just get nothing lol It happens. I use to write down my initial feelings of things and then compare them against their findings. Something for you to try out.

I've also done some work with this involving Unsolved Mysteries. I was actually interested in working with the police for awhile but I'm not sure if I can handle the energy? I had issues with it when I was younger but it definitely interests me. Something else for you to look at if you are feeling adventurous and wanting to experiment with psychic gifts.

Just make sure that you realize that the veil is thinner right now so your gifts will be heightened. Do it for short periods of time, no more than a half hour. Don't go doing any marathons Make sure you ground and center when you are done always. You don't want to carry any residual energy to give you funky dreams at night. Have fun with it!

I always love watching ghost stories around Halloween. Well all year really, it's one of my passions.

Historic Ghost Tour

Three Years ago now my town recently began something that I think is just wonderful and I wanted to pass it along to all of you, Ghost Tours. :))) This isn't your typical fright fest event, it's an event that's educational and raises money to restore the oldest cemetery in our town and we go every year because we absolutely love it. :))



In the center of my town is the Old Burying Ground. My first visit to it was when I was little with my Girl Scout trip and that trip really spurred my love of old cemeteries and their historical value. The Old Burying Ground in my town was established in the early 1600's and there's still 1100 graves intact on the grounds. You can go into it any time you like but you must get the key to the old iron gates from the library. They've done this to help prevent vandalism on the grounds as some of the graves are incredibly old.



Our public library teamed up with our historical society for this event along with a bunch of volunteers. What they do is have several people dress up as the people who are buried within the cemetery. They stand in front of their graves as the tour progresses and tell us the story of who is buried there and what their life was like. They really do an amazing job and I make it a point each year to go. The proceeds from the event go to maintain the cemetery and it's old gravestones.



As someone who loves visiting graveyards to view the old stones and the art on them I have lost track of how many I have found that are just in shambles. The event that we do in this town is sold out each year and generates a lot of revenue through ticket sales and donations as well as helps to recruit people to donate their time to help with the stones. Check on your cemetery in your town and see what shape it's in. It may be something you want to suggest for your town. It's important to preserve our history.

This year there were tons of people taking pictures of these two morning doves that were waiting on a stone right as we walked in. I loved watching people getting all excited and noticing this beautiful sign.

A lot of us also saw a well timed meteor that night! We saw it go streaking in the night sky behind one of my favorite "ghosts."

Rosemary Remembrance Cookies

Rosemary Remembrance cookies are an older recipe. They were traditionally made on All Hallows Eve to honor those ancestors who had gone before us. The family would get together and eat the cookies while telling stories of the ancestors who had gone before them. I actually love this tradition as it helps to keep the memory of those who have gone before us alive and to pass their stories down in the family. With the cookies you can use gingerbread cutters and shape them like men and women which was tradition or you can make them in a circle shape if you wish.

Once you have finished sharing memories the remainder of the cookies should be left outside as a gift to our ancestors.

If you wish to do this by yourself you can write down what you loved about the person or people that you wish to remember and it will work similar.

Ingredients
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter or margarine (softened)
1 egg
2 t. vanilla
1 t. almond extract
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cream of tartar
1 1/2 T. chopped rosemary

*please note that this is an old recipe 1 cup of vegetable oil for the butter for a healthier variety.*

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large bowl, beat sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, almond extract, and rosemary until creamy.

In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.

Fold flour mixture into sugar mixture. Beat until dough forms and refrigerate for three hours.

Divide dough into halves.

Roll out one portion to 3/16 of an inch on a floured surface.

Cut out with gingerbread women or men cutters and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Repeat rolling and cutting with second portion. Bake for 5-7 minutes.

Enjoy! Pass along those memories.

Ghost Hunting on the Plymouth Night Tour

Plymouth Night Tour  Merry Meet :))))))  Growing up as a psychic has always left me with this hunger to pretty much devour anything I can get my hands on when it comes to the spirit world.  Something I've always wanted to do but always was too afraid was a paranormal investigation.  The stars aligned for me this year two days before Halloween. :))) I was so excited to go. :))) We booked a tour the Saturday night before Halloween and I was even more excited because they were going to let us use EMF detectors, something I've always wanted to try.  To me it's the ultimate situation to be able to bridge what I do with the scientific side.  As most of you know who have worked with me I absolutely love validation. When we got there they told us that they would be splitting us into two groups.  One of them I was really excited about because the group the Unexplained Paranormal was going with the tour leader Geoffrey as well as a girl that I knew had intuitive gifts the moment I saw her.  I was super excited to find out that we would be with that group. :))) Interestingly enough there was a medium there as well known in Boston for her work which I found interesting.  Funny how things work out huh? :)) Geoffrey was absolutely awesome.  His knowledge of the history of the area was absolutely amazing and he shared it freely with us all night demonstrating his pure love of his job.   I loved the respect that he had for the field and the accuracy at how he taught the group.  His knowledge of the spirit world was definitely on point and he did an amazing job educating us about EMF detectors, how they work and how to use them.  EMF detectors measure electromagnetic fields which can be helpful when you are trying to detect spirits in the area.  I got to watch a lot of other equipment being put to use to with the Unexplained Paranormal investigator that was with us. :)) One of the things he did was tell us stories of reported ghost sightings as we walked throughout the town.  I couldn't help but try to sense things as we were moving around.  One of the stories I was excited about how accurate I was able to sense something.  He told us about a murder that happened in a three story house... as he was telling us about the poor woman who was murdered on the second floor I thought it was interesting that I was really being drawn not to that floor but to the top floor where I was getting visions of blood... I didn't say anything as he was telling the story.  As he ended the story he explained that her husband had murdered her but hid her in the walls of ..guess where...that's right that top floor exactly where I was being drawn to.  Crazy huh? :)))) The most anticipated part of the night for me was when we went to Burial Hill.   There was originally a fort there in 1621 and then a church until 1677. So I was very excited to go inside this old cemetery packed with history at night with ghost hunting equipment.  Can you imagine? Funny enough I was actually not scared at all but very calm.  I would have thought I would've been shaking in my shoes.  I was really right at home up there and I was still sensing everything around me.  There was a girl with our group that was helping out and I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome. I was able to use her as a gage a lot for what I was sensing which was very cool.  I remember at one point I was really uncomfortable with the energy and I looked for where she was and she had backed up and was leaning against a tree. The picture above was taken with the Paranormal Investigators camera.  I'm pretty confident that it's me on the right! LOL  Likely looking into something. :))))) I had a lot of things confirmed for me on the tour in the cemetery as I have been there before several times. For instance in one particular area I haven't been able to walk by it without getting a massive headache and sick to my stomach and I found out that it was actually a mass grave for men from a terrible shipwreck.  That explains that! lol :)) Another interesting story was of a place in the cemetery that I was actually amazingly calm.  Wolf's Tree. Wolf was a man that lived in Salem that predicted his own death in front of that tree by lightning before he died.  His story is pretty incredible so I'm going to include a link for you as I could write an article about what happened to him.  http://plymouth.wickedlocal.com/article/20140913/NEWS/140918416  It's definitely worth a read! The energy around the tree was incredibly calming and I would say out of place except that his energy made me feel right at home. :)))) These are just a couple of brief highlights from one of the most amazing nights I have had.  We were out there about 4 hours because he stayed an hour later with us.  He was just phenomenal. :)))) I would love to tell you that I had ghost pictures or the EMF detector went crazy or I saw something absolutely amazing but I don't have that.  I can tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I am so so so happy that the Plymouth Night Tour did not use any cheap scare tactics to "enhance" the experience.  If you are anywhere near the area or you can go see them I can't recommend them enough. :)))))) Go soon though! Apparently the town is going to prohibit access into the cemeteries at night soon. Samhain Spirits and the Gentleman Who Visited Me


Merry Meet :))))) As you know Samhain creates thinned veils and while I can pick up spirits all year it makes it that much easier for them to communicate with me right now. I have one gentleman on the other side who has truly made my Samhain this year. He actually moved me to tears tonight. :)))))

I don't always bring through spirits, they come through when they wish which is why I don't have any formal offerings for medium work. When they do come through I do try to bring them through. :)))

I did a reading for a wonderful lady for the first time last week. I'll be honest I always get jittery when doing readings. I'm not sure if that will ever go away. I love what I do and I have a great respect for it. :)))) I always want to make sure I have things right for the people I read for because I think it's really important.

So I started the reading and I immediately felt his presence standing with me. I knew he was there and I reached out trying to get additional information. Throughout the reading I had things coming through that I passed on. I asked him for something specific and boy did he get specific. lol :)) I've never had something this specific come through before and it made me question sending it. He told me specifically to look for the Halloween Oracle. First of all I didn't know there was a Halloween Oracle deck. :)) How cool! I now have it thanks to him and have been using it for your readings. Here's where the shocker came. He showed me a card, a card in a deck that I had never seen. I googled Owl, Halloween Oracle and the card above came up. He was adamant that I put that card in because it was specific. Without revealing too many personal details the wonderful woman's husband crossed a year ago at dusk on Halloween and the owl was quite significant.

I about fell over.... that was really really specific. I don't think there will ever come a day that I don't love validation. It's just one of those things with me. :))) To me being able to pass messages is such a blessings and I thank my guides ever day for the chance to do so.

So I went back to my readings incorporating the Halloween Oracle that this gentleman introduced me to. :))) I had a reading in my list from another new client. I felt that she had expectations... but I couldn't figure why? It made me nervous! lol :))) Yes, I'm being totally honest lol So I sat down to the reading and immediately I had a man sitting with me again. I could feel him. He has a lovely energy by the way. He was showing me all sorts of things this time and was very happy that I could receive them. He even brought someone with him, a wonderful lady that wound up being this lady's Mom. :)))) Amazing energy.

The man though! He had me so confused. He was showing me rings and a heart... but I didn't feel like he was the husband I was the person he was reading for. He gave me all sorts of details and I just gave her everything that I was getting. Are you ready for this?

It was the first woman's sister. :)))) It was her husband again! :))) He's amazing! :))) I thank both of you ladies for giving me the opportunity to work with the both of you and him. :)))) I actually had tears streaming down my face when I got validation from the sister. :))) It explained everything to me and as I've said I truly see this as a gift. I am grateful for it every day and it baffles me every day lol I remember watching Sylvia Brown and John Edwards when I was little wanting to do what they could do. Of course you can't go to school for that lol :))) I am grateful I can pass the messages that I pass and I love working with all of you :))))) You have no idea how happy it makes me :))))))

Honoring Those Who Have Gone Before Us

Honoring Those Who Have Gone Before Us

A huge part of celebrating Samhain is celebrating our ancestors and those who have gone before us.

One of my favorite activities is perusing old cemeteries. The older the better. :)))

This is something that you can do to honor those who have gone before you by remembering them.

Choose one or two people who were prominent in the town that you live in and find out where they have been laid to rest. Learn as much as you can about them before you go. Plan an afternoon to go to where their grave site is and see if you can find their marker. On the way there choose a pretty stone to give them as an offering to celebrate their life. :))

Something else you can do on the same trip is wander around and see if any stones call to you. When you find one that does see if you pick up any energy. Write down the name on the stone and the date and then when you get home you can try to research the person on the internet and see if anything comes up.
Although rare sometimes entities or energy surrounding a site may not be pleasant. When this happens just leave. Don't try to help or figure things out, trust your intuition and walk away. :))) If this happens ground and redo your shield, you should do this anyway after any intuitive exercise. :))))

The Red-Tailed Hawk As Your Totem

Merry Meet :))))) I was answering a question about the red-tailed hawk the other day and went to reference an article I had written on her, only to realize, I don't think I ever have! :)))) I am really surprised by this considering how near and dear to my heart she is. For those of you who may not know, I work with two main spirit animals, the red-tailed hawk I see in this world, she shows up during important times to me to deliver messages and validation. I also work with the white wolf, but she guides me in my dreams and meditations. The fox is another animal that has been working with me frequently over the past couple of years.

I have been aware of the hawk my whole life. Growing up, a man across the street from me actually trained them and I would see the one he worked with the most pretty frequently. I remember being absolutely mesmerized of the power and wisdom of this bird. As I started my path, she started appearing to me more and more frequently. I currently have a nest in one of the trees behind my house where she lives now and I see her all the time. :)))))

Just yesterday I was taking a walk down this old dirt road, and I came across this house that I just adored. It had several acres with it, and something about it just felt perfect to me. I was talking to someone on the phone and telling him about and and said, "Someday I would love to have a house like this", then I changed it to "Someday I will have a house like this." Just as I said the second line the red-tailed hawk swooped out of nowhere in front of me letting out her familiar cry as if to let me know that she heard me and I did right by changing what I said. lol :))) That's just one of the hundreds of examples I could share.

Hawks are amazing hunters and have incredible vision. When they work with you, they help to enable you to see the "big picture", they also help you to make wiser choices by looking at that big picture and calculating your moves before taking action. They are incredibly powerful and as soon as you start working with her you will feel her strength and courage assisting you on your path.

I know many of you have told me that you work with the red-tailed hawk as well and this doesn't surprise me as it's a very strong spirit animal for those of us who are gifted sensitives. They also are messengers helping to facilitate messages between our world and the other side. They will help you to develop your communication as an intuitive and your ability to pass those messages as well.

Part of what I love about the red-tailed hawk is that their tail feathers turn red as they mature, so they are "earned" in essence. I have had meditations and messages where I have passed key "tests" in my life and been given read feathers. :))) I absolutely love when that happens, it lets me know I am on the right path. Those who work with the red hawk will also have a great appreciation for the interconnectedness of everything that surrounds us. They tend to be spiritual teachers and leaders.

Three Souls

Merry Meet :)))) Awhile back I was able to go to Christopher Penczak's Seminar, The Mighty Dead. It was sooooo much fun! He's absolutely amazing, and it was quite the experience to work with him for a few hours. :))))

He introduced a theory to me that helped me to understand types of spirits or entities that I can feel. I wanted to pass it along to you. :))))) You can adopt this theory if you like, or use another one. I liked the way that it helped explain what I sense.

Christopher said that we all have three souls. You can call these souls anything you like as they will have many names, for the purpose of this article I am going to refer to them as your higher self, your mundane self, and your shadow self.

When we are here on Earth, we have three souls, but they are joined as one to go into making up who we are in this life. Our higher self, is our true self. This is the soul that will go back to the other side, or the Summerlands once we pass away.

Our mundane self will actually remain here on Earth, typically at the site we are buried, or the ashes are scattered, etc, until it breaks down completely and becomes one with the Earth again.

Our shadow self goes directly back to the Earth.

This is a quick interpretation of it.

I must admit it is a little bit disturbing to think of myself being split in three! lol :)) That being said though it helps explain a lot.

Many of you know I can hear my guides very clearly and I can sense other entities as well. :)))

When I hear my guides, the angels, my Grandfather who works as my guide, and when I have spirits come through with messages for you, they are almost always behind me and to my right. They have a beautiful energy that is just pure and loving and I am always calm when they are here. :))))) I am most familiar with these types of souls, as I work with them most frequently. When you interact with them you will get the most evolved answers, this has been my experience.

I have also experienced entities who I felt as if they were still on this plane, ie roaming the Earth. For those of you who have been with me awhile you will remember the story of the soul attached to the airplanes that I brought home from a tag sale. I wasn't terrified of his energy, but it wasn't comfortable either. These types of presences always leave me with a wary feeling. I can get messages from them, however I really prefer to deal with the first type. You can still interact with these entities, but you will get more informational, to the point messages, and they may be biased with emotions left over from their life experiences.

Then we go on to the third type. This is the type that is usually unresponsive and I always find myself cleansing right after I encounter one. I haven't known what they were and haven't wanted to refer to them as demons as they don't feel that way to me. They just aren't presences that I want to work with at all. After his seminar I now believe these to be the Shadow self. I didn't attempt to interact with them lol

What I find really cool about this explanation is I often find myself telling people that their loved ones are different when they cross. Those issues that they had to overcome in this life are typically gone and they are loving souls who don't have emotions such as greed and jealousy, or any type of illnesses. This would make sense if they leave that soul behind.

It's an interesting theory and one that I am going to research more. However, as I said, energy wise the descriptions feel right to me. :)))) So I wanted to put it out there for all of you :))))

Merry Meet :))) Sometimes spirit guides and spirits of those who have crossed will communicate with scents. It's one method for them to send us signs. For example my Grandmother who has crossed, will send me the scent of an edelweiss flower. Well I think it is! My mother has a candle in her house that we got when my Grandmother passed. It was called Edelweiss. When my Grandmother was little she use to pick those flowers in Italy. So when she is around me I will smell the scent of it. It's very distinct to me. My Grandfather, I've recently started noticing sends me the scent of his garage. That ones a little tougher to describe, but I recognize it. He use to work on cars and build race cars so it's a smell I remember from visiting him and playing in his garage growing up.

I have been experimenting with the following method lately and am actually having quite a bit of luck with it. I thought I would pass it along for you to try. :))) What we want to do is set up a more tangible sign for your guide to communicate with you like a scent. However, if you choose the scent, it makes it easier for you to identify.

For this exercise you want to choose a scent that you like and are familiar with, but you don't necessarily use frequently. When I started this I chose a new chakra spray that I had not used yet. The smell was very distinct to me, yet it was a brand new scent for me. You can choose anything really, a flower, baked good, perfume, essential oil etc. Just make it one you can easily recognize and save it for your guides to use.

If you can sense your guides, the next time you sense them introduce the scent to them. If it's a spray, spray a bit. Then ask them to use the scent to identify themselves. Explain that they can use it to send you signs and let you become more aware of their presence. I don't do anything special when I talk to them I just talk. :) If you aren't aware of their presence you can take a time that's quiet and light a white candle. Ask for your spirit guide to be with you then introduce the scent like above. Ask them to show you a sign that they understand.

When I did this, it has worked. I did not get a sign when I did it. I tucked the spray at the back of my altar. Over the next few days I would notice it very faint here and there. Now it is more pronounced. It is a nice additional validation for me. You know me, the validation girl! lol :) I love my concrete signs. :)))) Let me know how it works for you!

Seeing Spirits

Merry Meet :)) As most of you know I am an intuitive empath and a spiritual healer. My main gifts are in feeling others emotions. I do have some medium abilities but I tend to get them when it contributes to healing a person. I've always said I wished that I could control them, but they are there when the time is right and the person has a need to know. When I get messages from spirits on the other side typically they come as flash card images, photos, single words etc. The majority of the time it is with my third eye.

A few years ago I saw grandfather's spirit for the first time. It was the first full body spirit I've seen head on in my adult life. I did use to see them as a child. However I must confess it typically freaks me out so I learned to shut that off. :) When I saw him it was night-time, and I was standing outside looking at the stars. I was going through a particularly challenging time in my life and I was asking for his help. I needed someone there for me. A fog caught my eye at the side of the house. It appeared to be coming from the house next door. I figured it was the dryer vent or something. It was winter and quite cold so there are a number of things it "could" have been. However it wasn't. I felt compelled to watch and as I did that fog took the shape of my grandfather, while I could not make out his face perfectly I could make out his old army uniform. I was not afraid. I was actually extremely calm and felt like I was just wrapped in a blanket of love. It was the most incredible feeling. Since then I have caught glimpses here and there but nothing like that. Through the years I have caught short sightings. I'll confess they typically startle me. More often then not I'll get that feeling that someone is watching me, I'll turn my head, catch something and before I can get the oh sh** out of my mouth they are gone. However they were far and few between. Until now. I had asked a couple months ago to further my gift of sight. I told the Goddess I thought I was ready. ha ha ha ha hahaaaaaaa :)) Make sure you know what you are asking for. It started where I would see my dog who'd passed on two years ago. She was a yellow lab so quite similar in color to Max. I first noticed something was going on when I "saw" her laying in the kitchen, I wasn't looking full on, out of the corner of my eye, walked into the living room and Max was sitting there tongue hanging out looking at me. But wasn't he in the living room a minute ago? Must be overtired. Has happened several more times. So I said to a friend back then, I don't know why but I keep seeing my old dog lately. As soon as the words came out of my mouth I got an answer in my head from my guides that it was to prepare me. Daisy is non-threatening. So they started with her. I saw my grandmother yesterday, and again this morning.

Since then I have started seeing quite a few others.  Never for long periods of time.  Always just long enough that I am able to get a quick impression then it kinda fades? That's not the right word, but it's not there anymore. lol  Forgive me as some of these experiences I have are the most difficult to try to put into words.  However, I know that when I stumble about like this trying to help things, it helps some of you who are going through the same thing! :)))) So here you go :))))

As I sit here writing at my computer, I will frequently get that feeling.  To my left. I was being watched. I tried to move my eyes over a bit and could see the shadow if that makes sense, when I turned my head I caught a pretty clear figure, freaked out, then poof it was gone. It makes me question if I saw it in the first place, but it has happened enough times now where I am starting to get a little more use to it.  It's not crystal clear, like a person standing there, but I am definitely seeing them.   Not sure if I will ever get past the freaking out but I'm trying. So this apparently is the next leg on my journey is furthering this gift of sight. I'm pretty excited. Very very nervous. :)) But I know they won't give me anything I can't handle. I thought some of you may enjoy reading this. I know a couple of you on the list do have the gift of sight. I know a few others are empaths, and quite a few of you are highly sensitives. As I said the majority of what I "see" is with my third eye... I'm now wondering how much that is going to change.

Communicating with an Ancestor Spirit Guide

I believe that we have many guides. One of the types of guides that I believe we have are our ancestors. While I can feel them around me, the place I feel closest to them is in the woods. This is a simple spell to get to know your guide better. You can do it as a meditation if you wish, but i believe it holds more power when you actually go out into the woods to do it.

Choose a place in nature. Find a path through the woods where you can take a walk. Take time to walk to an area that you wish to perform your spell. Try to walk for a good ten minutes or so before you start. While you are walking work on timing your breathing with your steps. For example you may inhale for two breaths and exhale for two breaths. With each breath in, inhale the energy of the woods around you, with each breath out release any negativity to the ground in which you walk upon. The way I like to do this is to walk until I find an area in the woods that calls to me. I always find one. There's always a spot where the energy is just different, warm, loving, and calming. It usually tends to be a pocket of space. Once you have found that space choose a spot to sit in it where you can be comfy. Write down a copy of what is below and bring it with you. Once you get comfy say the following:

"I call upon you to walk with me as my guide,
Your loving wisdom I ask thee provide,

On boughs of love and hope astream,
Your visions of life will come to me,

Teach me the magick of your ways,
Help me to never be led astray

On this day I ask of thee,
shower me with your wisdom

I ask you to show me a sign of your presence,

So Mote It Be."

Repeat it three times or more if you are comfy. After you recite the spell lay back and close your eyes. Be mindful of everything around you. The energy around you, the smells and sounds, the feel of the earth beneath you. Reallly try to concentrate on the energy of your ancestor and will them to come forward. When you feel the time is right open your eyes. Look around you. Do you see a sign? If it is not there immediately when you open your eyes, you may see it on your walk back in the form of an animal so pay attention. I have tried this a few times and some of the things I have found is a feather, a quartz stone with micah in it, and hawks flying over me. It's amazing what can happen when your intent is there, and the desire to connect. This is a great way to start working with your ancestor guide if you have not already, or to honor them if you are familiar with who they are.

Hearing Your Spirit Guides

Merry Meet :))) I believe that everything around us is made up of energy. I also believe that divination works in part, because of that energy. You use various tools to help attune yourself to the energy around you to achieve the answers you are seeking. That being said I also believe that our spirit guides communicate to us through divination as well. When I was little I rememer hearing them very clearly as if they were next to me. However, nowadays I need to listen a little harder, although I am getting quite use to it again. I remember when I first started out though, struggling for my guides to "whisper in my ears" as I had heard so many others describe. It took me a long time to connect that most of what I heard would be in my mind, a lot like my gift of sight. It can make it a little complicated when you're trying to decipher what's your normal day to day conscience chattering and what's your guides, especially when you are an empath. :)) Being an empath or sensitive can make this even more complicated as our minds are constantly whirring along. 

Once in a great while I will hear them plain as day in my ear but it can be very far and few between. Generally when I do hear it this way it's only a couple of words.  However I hear them pretty much daily in my ear and have learned to recognize a couple of the different guides I have working with me. Sometimes I will get more then one speaking at once and it can get a little loud. lol  I read somewhere once, I think it was from John Edwards, a reader asking how do you know the difference between hearing guides and thinking you may be going crazy.  His simple answer was that if you tell the voices to stop, they will.

So how did I learn to hear them? First you have to be really open-minded to it. You will never ever hear anything negative from your guides. Let me clear that up right away. They are always uplifting. Another clue it's them for me is they will have answers that I don't know. I will be asking a question and all of a sudden I have an answer. Then I go and google it and find out it's right. Always amusing to me. They will also urge me to do certain things, say things, write things.

So a couple things to help you. One of the best methods for listening to them is quieting your mind. They love to come to me in the shower.  The reason for that, is that water is naturally grounding and you're likely relaxed. So don't force your thoughts but let them go where they may and be aware of your thoughts. Bubble baths is another great place. Long walks by yourself. Listen to nature around you and pay attention to where your mind wanders too. Meditation. Now until you get the hang of it, after you are done if you have a second jot down what you were thinking. Pretty soon you will start being able to tell what's you and what's them. Yes they can sound alike. I can't tell you how many times I've said wow I am super creative today. Yeah, ehm no. I've had help. lol

With time and patience you can learn to hear them as I believe everyone has this ability.  It can help you to hear them clearer if you are sensitive to begin with.  However if you are not a sensitive it doesn't mean you can't hear them, you just may need to work a little bit harder at developing your skills.  :)))

Breaking Through

Merry Meet,

It's been a day of very mixed emotions for me.  I am actually exhausted from the day's events yet it's not even dinnertime yet.  This morning started as a day I was quite nervous about.  My Grandfather's house was up for auction this morning, again.  It has been a struggle of many years for my parents evicting a tenant.  It came to a close this morning as the house that was my Grandfather's is no longer in my family.  With mixed emotions I set about the rest of my day.  However I was blessed with many gifts this afternoon.

Many of you who read the blog will know that I am in the process of writing a novel in under a month.  A personal challenge for myself that I felt guided to do.  It's actually coming along quite nicely and will be in fact complete for the deadline. :))))))  While writing the book I found myself exploring the similarities between witchcraft and Native American spirituality.  It's a path I didn't expect my book to take, but I followed the guidance I seemed to be receiving and it is all starting to fall into place today.

I've long felt I had Native American roots, but wasn't sure where they came from as to my knowledge my father's side was primarily French, and my Mother's was Italian.  This afternoon my father revealed to me that I have French Indian in my line as well as French Canadian.  It is why my Grandfather's spirit feels so close to Native American in his healing practices and guidance to me.  For those of you who may be just coming to the blog, my grandfather is one of the main spirit guides that I work with.  While I need to explore it further and would love to document the names and dates so that I may research them better, it's a huge breakthrough for me.  It was not uncommon for French Canadians and French Indians to marry, however accurate records may not have been kept as it wasn't acceptable in societies at that time.   A theme that is touched upon in my book, "Rebekkah."

In addition I was also told that the white wolf I loved so much was actually seen by someone who lived on the mountain I lived at with my parents when I lived at home with them many years ago.  A fact that nearly blew me away.  To further that my Grandfather had a very good friend who was a Native American, I remember him from when I was younger.  He also use to tell my Grandfather and Father of the white wolf in our area.  Apparently there was a white one and a black one.  A vision not uncommon to me in my dreams.

I am truly blown away as I'm sitting here writing this because I feel like so much is coming together for me and so quickly.  All of a sudden the writing that has been pouring out of me the past few weeks makes more sense.  The question of the strong Native American influence in my work has the beginnings of an answer.  I have been blessed with so many gifts this afternoon I have lost track.

At the auction of the house this morning my father had a basset hound come up to him. When he leaned down to pet him the pup licked him in the face.  Something that might seem uneventful except that my Grandfather had a basset hound most of his life.  Not a particularly common dog in our area and with the timing on it, you can't hep but realize my Grandfather was sending a sign that all would be ok and he is still here. I am grateful that he is such a strong influence and has blessed us with so many signs of his presence.

My father is starting to realize that he has the same gifts I do, as did my Grandfather, in being sensitive to the energy of places.  He's starting to understand when he walks into places and can feel the energy of an area that it's a gift he's been blessed with and I couldn't be happier.  My mother is the Empath and where I get that gift from.  There was so much more that happened today but I am still overwhelmed with it all quite a bit.  I am just grateful for the amazing obvious guidance in my path in discovering who I am, my gifts, and how best to use them.

Rather then being a day of pain, today seemed to be a day of great healing.  It really was incredible.

Medium Confidence - Believe

Last night I was blessed to be able to experience a class on being a medium.  It was a two hour class taught by Kathi Munson at the Abundant Wellness Center in Chicopee.  It was rather ironic how it worked out for me.  I spent most of yesterday getting caught up with my writing and working on my studies.  At almost 6:00 I was going to start getting dinner ready, and for some reason my events section of facebook caught my eye.  I clicked on it and saw the invitation to the class.  It was in an hour! It just so happened that it worked out perfectly so that I could go.  Once I got there it became obvious to me why I was suppose to be there.

The class was all about working on trusting our intuition.  We did a wonderful meditation where we developed a safe place and met an ascended master to work with. I had to giggle because the Abundant Wellness Center is in an old house, and for some reason I can really feel the spirits in that house.  So while I was trying to do my meditation I was laying down on the floor with my eyes closed and I kept seeing shadows passing over my eyes.  Each time I opened my eyes half expecting to see something but there was never anything there except the lights looking back at me.

After the meditation we moved onto the group exercises which took the majority of the class.  There were 14 of us, so she had us set up 7 chairs facing the wall.  She had 7 people sit in those chairs facing the walls with their eyes closed.  The rest of us stood in a line across the room.  We mixed up where we were standing so that the people sitting wouldn't know who was sitting where.  The first part of the exercise was to see if they could feel us moving towards them.  They were to raise their hand as soon as they did.  When it was my turn to sit, I was worried I wouldn't feel anything but was surprised when my back tingled a bit, so I raised my hand to indicate I felt someone moving towards me.

The next step was for them to rest their hands on our shoulders.  From there we were to put ourself in that safe place and start telling the person what we saw.  We did this three times.  I sat once, and did readings twice.  I did pretty good! The first time I was paired with a Wiccan Priestess.  There were just the two of us who were Wiccan in the class, so I thought it amusing we were paired up the first two times.  I described her guide to her, which I thought was really interesting.

The second time I was paired up with a different woman and I described one of her family members who had crossed.  He was interesting to me as I could see him, but he wouldn't come close enough to give me much for detail.  Each time we told them what we were seeing for about 5 minutes.

I was quite proud of myself for being able to read in that setting.  Everyone did it at the same time so I could hear everyone around me.  The point was to learn to block everyone out and work on focusing on our intuition and reading in a situation that was challenging.  If we can do that, then reading in a comfortable quiet situation would be easier.  This was the first time that I've gone out in person to do medium readings on someone that I don't know.  Something I've been wanting to get some experience doing and really test myself to see how accurate I could be.

So it was clear to me why that even light popped up for me last night, and what my lesson was there.  I gained some confidence in my abilities last night, got to spend time with some amazing people, and learned a lot.  I am thankful for the experience. :)))))

Dreaming...

Merry Meet :)))

I settled down into my bed smiling as the comforting coolness of the sheets hit my body.  I let my mind drift about to wherever it wished as I waited for the dreams to come.  As I lay there my hands started to tingle a bit.  Realizing what was happening I tried to relax and allow it.  It was becoming familiar with this sensation.  I settled into it and the rest of my body started to tingle.  I took a deep breath accepting and waiting.  Then my thoughts became focused. I walked through a haze of sorts and found myself back in my grandfather's garage.   A place I hadn't been in well over 10 years.  As soon as I walked through the door I was in awe of all the detail.  Everything was just like I remembered.  Then a familiar scent hit my nose.  My grandfather.  I would know it anywhere.  I sat down in the chair across from where he usually sat and tried to focus.  And then yet another veil of mist parted and I could see him.  He opened his arms to me and I was actually able to come close to him and give him a hug.  Something that doesn't happen to often.  He then proceeded to give me a message for my father. Something very simple but I knew it was important to him.  Just a few words.  He then gestured to the cup of tea in his hand.  I knew I was to remember everything and pass it on to my Dad in the morning.  With that, it gradually got hazier as I remember talking to him but it started to get less vivid.  I was drifting into a deeper sleep.  I went to fight it, but my grandfather told me to "relax and go with it."  I awoke the next morning not remember much but the beginning of the dream and the message for my father that I gave him that morning. This is just one of the many experiences I have had with dreams.

Ever wake up in the morning and it takes you a bit to realize that what you just dreamed about isn't real... or is it? Most morning I wake up pretty quickly save for the couple that it takes me a bit because the dream was that vivid and that realistic.  Then usually a cup of coffee will do the trick :P

I have received information through my dreams pretty much my entire life.  Although I wasn't completely aware of how they worked.  I've now got them categorized a bit. I should note that almost all of them I remember the emotions attached to them the most. Remembering the emotion attached to them is a huge help for me trying to decipher the messages.

The first type of "dream" I will get is a visit from someone who's crossed.  More often then not, this is how my grandfather contacts me, as in the story above, but I have seen others this way as well.  It usually happens right as I'm falling asleep.  That point where you're not fully asleep but you are nearly there.  I can reach it via meditation if I get quiet time in the house.  These are extremely vivid for me.  In these I am able to see, hear, smell.  That's how I know what they are, because everything is extremely detailed and I feel like I am actually there.  I usually will only get a sentence or two and it tends to be repeated. I will also usually get some sort of symbol or something meaningful to help me with validation for the person the message is intended for.   This is something I would love to work with more in the future.  However with two little ones, there's not a lot of chunks of quiet time to work with this more. :)  When I receive these types of dreams from someone who's crossed but I don't know them as well, I tend to get less smell and sound and more exaggerated symbols.  For instance I will see them holding a piece of paper with a symbol on it.

The second type I get are those dreams that pertain to events that could happen in the future.  I say "could" as sometimes I am given information to change the situation.  A warning if you will.  These dreams are always obvious to me as well as how vivid they are.  The colors are always extremely, well ... colorful! lol The detail is usually pretty incredible too.  I also have a tendency to get ripped out of them depending on when they happen.  Three in the morning is a pretty common time.  Something will make a loud bang in the house startling out of my sleep.  It's as if they want to wake me quickly so I remember the details.

The third type of dream I get is the repetitive one.  This one I'll get either several nights in a row, or it seems to continue on.  Like picking back up a movie where it left of.  The thing with these types is it doesn't seem to be as much what's going on in the actual dreams as the symbols in them.  I use a book to help me with these and I find the interpretations usually make complete sense to me.  The book is called the Illustrated Dream Dictionary by Pamela Ball.  I can't begin to tell you how much I love this book.  I've used it with friends as well who have told me they keep having a dream over and over.   Barnes and Noble has them online used for $1.99.  http://amzn.to/1qBNljO  I picked it up from Barnes and Noble a couple years ago when it was new.

Most people will get messages through their dreams.  The reason for this is we have our "guards down" at that time if you will.   It's easiest for guides and loved ones who have crossed to send us messages then.  I see a lot of people who recognize when dreams are significant but aren't too sure what to do with them.  A good place to start is keeping a Dream Journal.  This helps you to become more aware of your dreams, encourage lucid dreaming, and help to point out patterns in your dream.  Just pick a notebook or a special place, and each morning when you wake up, write down as much as you can remember.  It doesn't have to be perfect, words, pictures, whatever will help you to remember things. It serves as a wonderful reference and it will help you to tune in and start realizing what your dreams are trying to tell you.  Pair that with a book like above and you'll be on your way! :)))
