That Magickal Doorway to 2018

Merry Meet :)))) How many of you are ready to welcome in 2018? :))) I know I most definitely am. There's something about that energy shift and the magick on the night that resides between the two years that is incredibly powerful.

This year I can feel some incredibly strong shifts happening as we get ready to start January 2018 with a huge surge of energy. At the New Moon two weeks ago I felt the energy start to slow down, trying to slow us down so that we would rest and be ready for the energy surge that is coming in 2018. It is this sort of strange lull in energy that I haven't felt in a long time.

If you rose up to meet the challenges that 2017 brought us with intense shifting in our lives and a lot of work to release what no longer works for us and working with our shadow selves you will find that you are getting ready to enter some wonderful energy. I know I am still a bit apprehensive as I stand here at that magickal doorway to 2018 looking at the positive and amazing energy I'm seeing in front of me. I can feel it though! I've been feeling it for the past few weeks.

2018 is bringing us new energy to replace what we gave up or lost this year. It is full of hope and inspiration and honestly this magickal energy that I haven't felt in quite some time. For those of you who are gifted empaths you are going to find this is a big year for your intuitive gifts. They will be heightened this year so it's a great year to work on developing them. Creativity is also going to be huge for so many people this year. It's a year to express yourself, enjoy life and just work on creating the life that you've always wanted.

This is going to be a huge year for learning. Make sure that you get out of your comfort zone and try new things so that you can gather information and learn new things that you will be able to use on your path. The other thing I'm getting is trust. This will be a year for you to really work on developing trust in your relationship with yourself and your guides.

While we have many things that are unknown coming our way this year, we have some wonderful magickal energy at that door to 2018 rising up to greet us. Are you ready?

The WildWood Witches

Merry Meet :))) I came upon an artist today that I know many of you will truly appreciate and I wanted to share him with you. His name is Steve Hutten. He works primarily in colored pencils and has designed a gallery that I'm sure will capture you for a good amount of time this morning or whenever you get a few moments to look at all of his enchanting art.

Almost al of his work is contained in a collection called the Wildwood Coven. There are 52 witches in this coven, each of them different and divided into the four seasons. The picture that you see above is the first one that I encountered and I instantly loved it. Her name is Jennifer Heartsease and she is known for her work with the Feral Colonies of kitties where she lives. :)))

Some of his characters are based upon people he has met in his life and some are completely fictitious.



Valonia is the head of the Wildwood Coven.



This is another one of my favorites. Cerella represents Spring. :))))

He has two books available on Amazon. They look like they are currently out of print but if you own a Kindle you can get a copy. :))) You may be able to find a print edition on Ebay or in a bookstore.



I have not had the chance to read it yet. I am hoping to gain some time to read it soon! :)))) It doesn't look like he has a tarot deck or an oracle deck but his artwork would make an amazing one! :)))

The Spirit of the Season

Merry Meet :))) This is probably the busiest time of the year for almost everyone. We celebrate Yule, many of us spend Christmas with our families, and then we go into the New Year.

I believe this is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Here in New England we've been getting snow since last week. I'm hoping maybe this year it will stick around so that we have a white Christmas. I always think the lights look so much prettier in the snow. 

This holiday season remember to celebrate the season of giving and spend extra time with your family, friends and loved ones. Always remember those less fortunate and see if there may be ways that you can give back and spread some extra love this season.  

One of the most important messages that I've been seeing a lot in my reading the past few weeks is to slow down. The season is magickal if you allow it the proper time and you add your energy to it. Take the time this year to slow things down and really let yourself enjoy the season. See how it makes a difference in the holiday celebrations. Let go of stress, worry and fears over the next couple of weeks and just love and trust. Give yourself the gift of peace and happiness this season.

3 Magickal Herbs For Yule and the Holiday Season

Merry Meet :)))))) Many of you know I love herbs. Earl definitely knows as he watched me sneezing as I got my nose much to close to a rosemary shaped tree at Costco. I love smelling them! Over the past several years I have been becoming absolutely addicted to herbs. I had a huge garden this year and I cannot wait until I have my herb garden back in the Spring. One of the biggest things that started me into them was for home made teas and flavoring waters. Since then I've been studying how they help us physically and metaphysically and I just find it fascinating. 

Today I wanted to go over a few herbs with you that are perfect for Yule.

Rosemary - Most of you are probably familiar with Rosemary for it's protective properties. Did you know that Rosemary is associates with many Goddesses, especially Goddesses of the Ocean? Rosemary is also amazing for cleansing energy and bringing you good luck. These make amazingly cute small looking trees! You have to see the picture.



That's a great way to attract some extra prosperity, luck, and keep you and your home protected this season.

Mistletoe - Of course we have to include this one. Most of you probably know it for it's reputation to bring long love and happiness to couples. This is a plant of good luck and prosperity. Not only is it great to hang as a decoration but you can add it to special yule sachets to attract good luck throughout the season. You can also make a simple mistletoe wreath.



Peppermint - This is another one of my favorites, but I use this herb all year round as I absolutely adore peppermint tea. Peppermint is also a very protective herb. It is wonderful for cleansing energy. It also attracts prosperity. Another wonderful herb to work with.
