Spell Ingredients - If you are a Daily Magick member you will be receiving a special mini ritual for tomorrow's Full Moon. For tomorrow I designed a simple but powerful spell for you designed to help you capture the courage and strength that tomorrow's Full Moon is bringing us. How many of you have a Bath and Body work's near you? If you do they have a hand cream and body wash that is called Happiness in their aromatherapy line. It contains Bergamot and Mandarin. I have the hand cream on my desk all the time. Grab yourself one or both of them for tomorrow's spell if you can. The first part is for the ritual shower, the hand cream would be a boost for after that you can use after tomorrow.

If you cannot get these don't worry! You're looking for a body wash that has bergamot in it or is citrus scented. If you can grab a hand cream that matches that's an added nice bonus for you.

You also want an orange candle. This can be any size you wish.

Blue Moon Magick

When I was little I remember looking for a Blue Moon because I loved the Moon and thought that surely a Full Moon that was blue would be the most beautiful sight to see. I also thought it would be magickal of course. I always looked for magick when I was little. I was partially right in that the Blue Moon does have extra magickal energy. It unfortunately does not have a beautiful blue appearance on the night it happens.

I think all of us have heard the phrase "once in a blue moon." It typically gets used for things that happen on a rare occasion. In fact there is evidence in history going all the way back to the 1500's when people referred to the Blue Moon as a rare occasion. That's the earliest written reference that I saw in a pamphlet by William Roy and Jeremy Barlow. In a conversation between two characters, one says, “Yf they say the mone is blewe/We must believe that it is true.” I'm sure if we looked hard enough we would find it goes back much farther than that.

A Blue Moon occurs any time we have more than one Full Moon in a month. The only month that you will never find this in is February as there simply aren't enough days in the month to have this happen. Historically the definition of a Blue Moon was an extra Full Moon in any given season. So why did they call it a Blue Moon?

People have been naming the Moons for a long long time. Depending on where you are and what you believe is what the Moon is called. Names like Snow Moon, Flower Moon and Cold Moon helped them to keep track of where they were in the year, for us it helps us to keep track of the Wheel of the Year. What in the world do you do when you have an extra Moon in there? You can see how this could cause complications. That extra Full Moon took on the name Blue Moon.

I was taught in my training that on the night of a Blue Moon the energy is twice as powerful. If you need to work with magick on the night of a Full Moon the night of the Blue Moon will definitely give it an added kick helping to ensure the success of what you wish to do! I was also taught to look for rare events happening around you during the day before, during and after a blue moon. It's a great time to look for things that seem "out of place."

What an incredibly magickal night we have coming on the 31st! We have a total lunar eclipse on the night of our Full Blue Moon! Is that not incredible? We began the New Year on the 1st with a Full Moon and we are going to end it on the 31st with a Full Moon. As you can imagine the energy that we've been working with has been incredibly strong and this Full Moon will be so important for you and what's going on in 2018.

Did you know that this is the third Full Supermoon in a series of Three Full Super Moon's in a row? I couldn't line this energy up better if I tried. I told you 2018 would be special. I also heard that this is the first Total Lunar Eclipse that has happened in a Blue Moon since 1866. Most definitely a rare event.

Looking For Your Soulmate? Soul Mates, Twin Flames, and Relationships.

I have so many of you who come to me looking for your soul mate or wanting to know if the person that you are with is your soul mate.  For me this is a bit of a complicated question to answer as my beliefs may be a bit different then some. So for those of you looking for that perfect love, or those of you who believe you may have found them, this article is for you.

As many of you know who've been with me for awhile, I am a firm believer in reincarnation. I believe we come back over many lifetimes to learn lessons that will help us on the other side. When we come back we come back in groups. I would term anyone in these groups a soul mate. You may find your soul mates among family members, friends, and or people that you know very casually. You will likely recognize the energy of these souls rather quickly and may mistake them for your "true love." Their energy will often feel comforting and familiar to you as you've traveled many lifetimes together. Just because a person feels like a kindred soul to you, does not necessarily mean you are meant to spend this life with them. This is where I think some of us get confused. Sometimes this person may have agreed to come solely to help you learn a lesson. So while this soul feels amazing and loving and familiar to you, you may find yourself in a relationship that is not beneficial for you. This can make it even more difficult to leave a relationship that is not working well for you. On the other hand you may have an amazing relationship with this person and have indeed agreed to be together in this lifetime. It may be a beautiful loving relationship and the two of you may be here to support each other in this life.

The Twin Flame is your other half.  I believe we are whole at the beginning of our creation and then separated. There are many opinions out there on how many lifetimes you will spend together, I've heard only the first and last, and in other places I've heard many. I personally believe you will travel several lifetimes with this person. This is a rare and precious gift when you get to spend a lifetime with your twin. It will be unlike any relationship that you have ever experienced before. There are several things that you will look for...

- Undeniable Connection: You will feel like you have known this person forever and have a comfort level from the beginning as if you have spent many lifetimes together.

- Comfort: The comfort level will be unlike that you've ever felt before. You will immediately feel "at home."

- Empathic Energy: You will feel each others energy clearly, even if you are miles apart. You may also take on symptoms of your flames emotions, illnesses etc.

- Unspoken Words: You will often know what the other is thinking without saying a word.

- Energetic Touch: You are actually able to touch each other with energy. You are that sensitive to each other's energy.

- Dream Transfer: You will see each other in dreams and actually be able to recall them together.

- Synchronicity: You will find you call and message each other at the same time frequently.

- Health Awareness: Once together you will both amazingly start to improve your health. You may find yourself craving only healthy foods or picking up new exercise routines.

- Spirituality: This one is huge. There is a profound spiritual connection, and your relationship will deepen your faith together as you will realize that without a doubt the universal energy is much bigger then the world in which we live.

- Past Life Memories: You may find when you are together you have past life memories, and can see snapshots of previous lives, what you looked like, where you lived etc.

- Complimentary Interests: You will have complimentary interests. Your twin flame will have talents in areas that you may be lacking so that when combined you are an amazing presence.

- Your Mission: A knowing that you are here and have been brought together to do something significant together and make some improvement in this world.

- Gifts: This is a giving relationship on both sides.

- Karma: You may be aware of karma from past lives, you may even remember specific incidences, but you will resolve them and move past them in this life.

- Inspiration: You truly inspire each other in all ways.

- Time: Time may appear to freeze or get lost when you are together.

- Determination: There will be an equal determination on each side to make the relationship work.

These are just a few of what I feel are the most important things to look for. When you experience a twin flame relationship you will know it without a doubt for it will exceed anything you have ever known. Now this is not to say that you will never disagree or need to work on your relationship.We are all human.  However you will work together to make it work, and with each obstacle you overcome your relationship will deepen so that you keep reaching levels. The beauty of it though, is the deepening of levels feel infinite.

Please know that this is not a relationship that you will have every lifetime. Many times your twin flame will remain behind acting instead as a guide for you in the lifetime you are in, so even if they are not with you in person, they are still with you.

If you are lucky enough to have it in this lifetime though it will change your life. You will become healthy, fit, make changes you need to, and find yourself living in perfect harmony with the world around you as long as you both work together on both your relationship and spirituality.

Tonight's New Moon in Capricorn

2018 has already started off with some incredibly powerful energy. You may have found that this energy is moving fast and you might find yourself struggling a bit to keep up! Take a deep breath and keep going as tonight'sNew Moon is not going to slow down this energy.

We are in an incredibly powerful time energy wise as we navigate the time period between the Full Moon that we began 2018 with and the Full Blue Moon that we have waiting for us as we close out January on the 31st. This energy in between is incredibly powerful.

Tonight's New Moon is really important as it's our first New Moon of 2018 and the work that you do tonight will help you to establish the energy that will be with you not only this lunar cycle but much of 2018 as well.

We have a rare alignment tonight called a stellium. A stellium occurs when we have four or more planets aligned in a single sign or house. With tonight'sNew Moon we have the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Saturn all in the sign of Capricorn. So what does that mean??? A Stellium heightens the energy of the planet that they are in, in this case Capricorn. This stellium is giving Capricorn some extra energetic muscles. I wouldn't expect anything less the way that 2018 has been going. It's like an astrological firework show!

Capricorn is a great sign to start new things. It helps to add structure to whatever it is that you are trying to do. Capricorn is an Earth sign keeping whatever you begin tonight well grounded. It's going to put a lot of extra strength and determination behind what you wish to accomplish making this an incredibly powerful energetic night.

Tonight's New Moon energy is going to unite with our New Year energy and kick start everything going on. You are going to feel like you can accomplish anything and it's a great time to go for what you want. I told you that this year would be a powerful year for working on what you want and the astrological energy is most definitely supporting us.

I've also been getting a lot of heightened romantic energy coming up! I haven't seen this in awhile! If you are single this may help you to find that special someone. If you are in a relationship you will find that it helps you to enhance your current relationship or rekindle a current relationship. We are going into a great time to work on romance. I can't help noting that it's a few weeks before Valentine's Day so I find the timing on this incredibly nice.

It's funny, I feel like 2017 was so challenging and difficult the energy is aligning this year to reward us for all the hard work that we put in and give us extra opportunities to really go after our dreams. It's really nice to see the energy lining up as it is and honestly? It's a bit baffling! The events I'm seeing are so strong and so perfectly aligned, it's as if someone sat up there and looked for the best way to line things up for you so that you have the greatest chance of success. This is energy that you definitely don't want to miss working with!

Each year I get excited in December as the books for the new year start coming in that I work with each year. Today I wanted to give you a quick look at the staples that I get each year as well as a couple of extra ones that I got this year to work with.

I was invited to start a page on Amazon listing my favorite products. I thought it was a great idea and I decided to add it to the site. I'll be using this page to pass along some of my favorite things to you. You don't have to purchase with Amazon, you can get things wherever you wish. It's just an easy way for me to pass along things that I love. 

I have been purchasing the Magical Almanac every year for over 10 years now. It's definitely the first book that I order each year. If you've ever wondered where I get the color and incense of the day from it's from this amazing book.  It has an amazing calendar in it that helps me keep track of the important days going on. It's also packed with amazing articles. I enjoy reading it each year. 

For those of you who love herbs as much as I do this is another one of my staples. I started ordering this a few years ago. It's packed with recipes, stories and tips for gardening that you will love to read. In the back is a great calendar that helps you with to optimize your planting.

If you love the Sabbats you will adore this almanac. It has so many articles and ideas for you to check out. This one is a little different as it doesn't start in January, it starts on our Witch's New Year, Samhain. If you like this one, you need to remember to order it early each year. 

This is another almanac that I get every year. This one starts in the Spring. The Witch's Almanac started in 1971. If you enjoy Farmer's Almanac's then you will love this one. It has similar information. The articles each year are done with a specific theme. The new almanac this year is themed after the Magic of Plants. I will be ordering mine soon and can't wait to read it! 

Earl's Mom got me this book for Christmas and I love it! It has so many amazing spells to choose from and she does an amazing job picking appropriate spells for each day. I've enjoyed Patti's work for awhile now and she definitely doesn't disappoint with this book. 

I get a planner every single year. I find that they are such a huge help! This is the one I chose for this year.  The link goes to an 8 x 12 one I believe but I chose the smaller one.

The Sound Of Silence - The Importance of Shutting Things Off

When I woke up this morning, the skies were going that classic New England gray that tells me storms are moving through and the wind was starting to really kick up blowing things around. It was strong enough to take out the power for a couple of hours. As you heard the familiar beep as everything shut off, you could hear the groans in the house... followed by my sigh of relief.

I always forget how much better I feel once the power goes out. All the noise and the energy in the house was just quiet and I could feel my body instantly relax.

You would be amazed how big of an impact just the simple electronics running in your home every day can impact you. If you are an empath or a sensitive you are going to find that it's even more amazing when you shut that power off.

Go through your home and shut absolutely everything off that you can. Unplug whatever you can, make yourself have a mini-power outage. Then grab a good book or just relax with the lack of energy and watch the world around you. Your house will have a completely different feel to it.   You will find it relaxing.
