Full Moon Halloween Oracle Card Reveal- October 24, 2018

Which Halloween Oracle card did you choose?

Card 1 - Hearth:

“Happiness in our hearts and homes.”

“The ancient Romans believed that every home had a heart and it was the hearth. Where the fire burned, the family gathered for sustenance, communication and protection. This concept was so important to the culture that there was a huge city hearth – the Vestal temple – where the fire of the home goddess, Vesta, burned forever without ever going out. This sacred flame was protected by the soldiers with their very lives should there be an invasion.

The place where the Goddess Vesta was honored within every ordinary home was also the hearth, and it is where women prepared food and cooked. Some of the food was always offered back into the fire as an offering to Vesta for her blessing and protection. Often husbands were sent away on military duty for years on end and their wives at home were not just expected to keep the home and often the business running, but to wait for their husbands faithfully until their return. They prayed to Vesta to ensure their family members’ return and to keep the fires of love stoked. The saying: “Keep the home fires burning” was inspired by this practice.

Should the Hearth card appear in your divination, you are beings asked to look to your idea of what home and family is for you. Take the time to build up your ‘love’ fire and have it burning brightly. Make your relationships a priority. If there is conflict within your home and family, it is time to take concrete steps to address the issue for good. If you or a member of your family is away from home due to travel or work, know that protection is being given.

Focus on your home and your family with tonight's Full Moon. Think about what it is that transforms the house that you live in, into a home and work on bringing more of that energy into your life. It's a night to bring more positive energy and love to the relationships that are important to you. Keep in mind that Venus is still retrograde so you may find people still aren't acting quite as you know them to? Shower them with love and special attention and you will find the energy should improve in your relationship.


Card 2 - Dawn: “The light after the darkness.”

“Whilst midnight is often thought of as a magical hour, throughout time dawn has also had its share of the mystical. All manner of magical beings had to return to their true forms by dawn (werewolves for example) and vampires could only be active whilst the rays of the sun did not pierce the sky.

Dawn and deities of dawn heralded both hope and new life. Goddesses such as Eostre and Gods like Helios and Apollo were those who brought new life and the dawn’s light to the world. The journey from the darkest night of the soul to a bright and hopeful dawn is one of the deepest and most powerful heroes paths repeated over and over in mythology.

Should you receive the Dawn card, you are being reminded that there is always a fresh start and a new beginning to be had. Change is unstoppable and even the most difficult times will pass, no matter how devastating they may seem. Hope is one of he most powerful motivating forces in the Universe and it is being indicated here.”

“In traditional folklore, cats were said to have one foot in this world and one in the next. They were the conduit between the underworld and this world and fortune and opportunity.

In the times of the Inquisition (the Middle Ages), cats were hunted because they were said to be allies of evil entities such as devils and witches. Black cats (black being associated with the darker aspects of the supernatural) were especially singled out. Historians believe this unprecedented killing of the cats in the name of eradicating evil led to an unchecked increase in the rat population which was responsible for bubonic plague and the death of millions of people.

These days, in Germany for example, a black cat passing one’s path indicates impending misfortune. Yet, in ancient Britain they were considered good luck and were even given to brides on their wedding day. In Japan, to this day, they are considered very good luck and bringers of fortune.

Should the slinky black cat cross your path through this oracle, know that good luck and fortune will be meeting you promptly. Also know that your luck will be even “luckier” if you are prepared to take advantage of every special opportunity that comes your way.

Have any studying you need to do or need a day to travel, this would be the best day. Being an intellectual day pay attention to your thought patterns today. Today is a great day to work with your conscious mind and make things happen. If you are working with spells today, choose spells for communication, education, and self-expression. It’s also a good day to consult oracles, tarot cards or runes, plan any magickal work, and write. If you are working with stones today choose to wear amethyst, star rubies, or lodestones for protection. Choose sapphire in amulets.

Tonight is the night of the Full Moon. The Full Moon is the time of greatest power and the perfect night for magick and ritual as it’s a night where energy is in abundance. The Full Moon represents the Goddess in her Mother aspect. She is fertile and abundant gaining knowledge. The next important day for your magickal work is Samhain and Halloween on October 31st.

We begin our day with the Moon void of course as she makes her way to Taurus arriving at 10:34 this morning. While the Moon is making her journey she will be void of course or between signs. During this time we want to minimize doing anything important. It's a great time to rest, relax and take care of you. With the Moon in Taurus things begun now last the longest, tend to increase in value, and become hard to alter. It brings out an appreciation for beauty and sensory experiences. The magickal color of the day is Yellow and the incense of the day is Marjoram.Have an amazingly magickal day!

The Full Samhain Moon Tomorrow Night - Spell Ingredients, Last Calls and What You Need to Know!

The Full Moon Tomorrow

Merry Meet :) Are you excited for tomorrow night's Full Moon? I've spent the last couple of hours working on tomorrow's Full Moon edition of Daily Magick and I'm pretty excited about it. I have the ingredients that you will need for tomorrow's spells that I wanted to get to you today so you have time to gather them.

The first ingredients are for a ritual that is all about honoring the changes happening in your life and helping you with a special tribute to your loved ones on the other side. For this ritual you need 5 small pumpkins, 5 tealights, Wheel of Fortune card from your tarot deck or a Jara Rune, Gold and Silver Candles, White and black cords and Frankincense incense. The white and black cords you can make yourself out of any type of material just use two white strands, one black and braid them. If you don't have a tarot deck please feel free to draw your own Wheel of Fortune card. The pumpkins need to be large enough to carve and hold a tealight.

The second spell for tomorrow is a special Samhain Full Moon Tea. This tea is meant to bring you balance and help you with your intuitive work throughout the month. For that you need a blood orange. If you are unable to find a blood orange you can use a normal orange. Vanilla beans are expensive, if you can access a tiny bit of one that's amazing if not it's perfectly ok! Grab some vanilla extract and it will work amazing. You want a cinnamon stick and a tiny amount of cloves. You will also need a tea ball or some cheesecloth to put the loose ingredients in so your tea tastes good.
